Are we using real weather/time settings?
Didnt want to put this in Nole's playbook thread and I know Matt probably has the answer being reviewed because hes good like that, but whats your thoughts on this?
I think it would be awesome and help with a ton of variety and not just the same day games, sunny, all the time.
Maybe this is a reason for the disconnects as well?? Doubt it but who knows.
Id love to see some recaps with puddles and snow, would be sweeeeeeeeeeet.

I would say yes but I am merely NDL:G so I don't think my vote counts.

i played the other day in a rain game and guys were slipping all over the place... definitely adds some spice when your wide receiver slip when making his cut.
i say we should be using it
i say we should be using it

Also gives smaller teams a possible upset and as in real life might take away from a team's advantage with speed and play to another team that may be bigger and run more or something else?
Whole new level of strategy involved as well from a game plan aspect.

only thing that is kind of shitty is that almost every game that we play in season 2 for northern guys is going to be in the snow.

There will be road games but thats the way it is in the real life for their home games!!!!DRiccio21 wrote:only thing that is kind of shitty is that almost every game that we play in season 2 for northern guys is going to be in the snow.
Dont want snow, dont take a northern team!

I might join the Big 10 just for a snowy winter.

Not sure if thats been confirmed but who knows.
Are we even sure the customized playbooks cause disconnects or is that a theory? Did EA ever release anything?

Re: Are we using real weather/time settings?
well thats the way it is for UConn for say their last 2 or 3 home games. using this when we get into the winter months it'll be like that every game. including early in the schedule.Cnasty wrote:There will be road games but thats the way it is in the real life for their home games!!!!DRiccio21 wrote:only thing that is kind of shitty is that almost every game that we play in season 2 for northern guys is going to be in the snow.

Shel, have you done it yet?Nole4real wrote:in other words, is it easily doable by our coaches who arent technology friendly

Re: Are we using real weather/time settings?
you literally just start and exhibition game vs the computer and get to the weather screen then back out and go online and its done.Nole4real wrote:

I can't remember the last time IU had a snowy home game. Plenty of cold and rain, but not many snow games that I can remember specifically.

Re: Are we using real weather/time settings?
per daves post above on how to do it.OracleHCR wrote: before going to the online lobby go to "play now" like you are going to play an exhibition against the cpu. Make sure you are the home team that you will be using in your game, and advance past uniform and playbook options and select "ready". At the game options screen, go to the Weather Channel live feed and change it to manual then back to live. Back out of the exhibition by pressing the circle and go to the online lobby. Invite your opponent and when the game starts you'll be playing in the current conditons of the home team.

Do you have to do that all the time or just once?
