Are we using custom playbooks? (disc issues)
ive only played 5 games and only disconnected last night playing doc
that was right after i customized my playbook including taking out the redundant plays, 90% of the PA stuff and etc
whats the concensus so far? do we have a link between the discs and custom books?
if so, we may have to look at not allowing it to prevent/minimalize disconnects

Re: Are we using custom playbooks?
I used mine against you and we didnt get a disconnect but not sure if its improved lately.
Reign did a pretty thorough thread on how to do the PBs but not sure if there were still disconnects after his way?
viewtopic.php?f=6&t=20873
I only removed formations, didnt do specific plays.
Ill hold in my opinion on whether we will use them though as Matt is weak and my opinion may sway him.

Re: Are we using custom playbooks? (disc issues)
lol, poor block
yeah, i saw that 1 on how to and what not. i wanted to get a seperate oine going just to address the disconnect issues alot of guys seem to be having and how it may be tied to the custom playbooks (even if you dont use one but your opponent does)
hopefully some guys will post up that they have played several plus games using a custom book with no disconnects
if not, we'll know we have an issue

Re: Are we using custom playbooks? (disc issues)
I think a lot of people reported getting 3 and 4 games in yesterday with no disconnects (i think Mike and Shel?)
Not sure if they were using custom PBs though.
Also maybe it was the server was overloaded the first few days and will slow down causing less disconnects possibly?

Re: Are we using custom playbooks? (disc issues)
I've played about 16 games with a custom playbook and only disconnected in a game with UCLAMac that was choppy from the start.
I just add/remove formations and do not mess with the plays though. Maybe that's a factor.

I've only played three online games so far, all with my custom book. I've not had a disconnect yet.

Don't make me leave UCF after this season and join the Big East, bet you'd love that.DRiccio21 wrote:who said you could talk?Block M wrote:I've played about 16 games with a custom playbook and only disconnected in a game with UCLAMac that was choppy from the start.

I've added and removed formations and completely stripped books of plays and added them back. No problems for me. Of course since I've posted this now my disconnect rate is going to skyrocket.

Re: Are we using custom playbooks? (disc issues)
I say we go with custom playbooks. Maybe that will add some variety to the game. Seems like a lot of the teams that I choose are running the pistol and all SG sets. Custom playbooks would be bring more looks into the game that we wouldn’t normally get.

I am way too lazy to go through playbooks. I just use team default.
