The Pistons, after not playing for days, get a shocking victory over the Knicks at MSG, 63-53, in one of the ugliest games of the season. The two teams combined for a total of 25 points in the first quarter, which was topped (or bottomed?) byt a combined 20 in the 4th. The Pistons led by 23 at one point as both teams played their bench players much of the second half, and the Knicks went on a late run to cut it to ten. The Pistons were helped by 9 blocked shots (many on jumpers) and held the Knicks to 3/15 shooting from downtown, as Ray Allen sat the entire second half.

The Player of the Game had to be given out, so it was given to Steph Curry, who had 11 pts (5/6 shooting), 5 boards, 2 assists, and 2 steals.

GG Riccio, I'll see you in the rebound game.

The Bucks and Celts fighting for the final playoff spot in the East last night... Bucks prevail! But that just fired up the Celts, who turned around and put it on the Raptors!!! Don't sleep on the Bobcats though... less than 20 games played and the skills to make up the ground. Looks like a good 3 team race down the stretch.

I don't know about being a potential playoff team but I do need to get some games in. That said, I'll be around later today and tonight for games.

Great game. Kmart is still slumping, but came up big at the buzzer.

The Boobcats nab a 61-58 win at Cleveland. Dwyane Wade led the team with 26 points after starting slowly. The Cats got nice contributions from Darren Collison with 11 points and JJ Redick with 10 as well. Charlotte is interestingly enough 1-5 at home but 6-4 on the road. The moral of the story: Charlotte sucks. No wonder the Hornets bolted.

GG Peay, sorry I disconnected immediately after our game. I was working from home and had to save some test results that I kicked off as we started our NBA game.
It was a fun one to be a part of even though I lost. Good luck the rest of the way!

Charlotte continues to scoff at the notion of "home court advantage" as they fall at home to the Sixers by a 52-47 score in a game that set back offensive basketball by about 25 years. Darren Collison is being investigated by the North Carolina State Police for point shaving and fixing games as he missed several open layups and turned the ball over 10 times. I wish he would fail TV class and get the fuck off the team. Dwyane Wade led Charlotte with 19 points on 8/13 shooting and 6 steals but other key figures such as DeMarcus Cousins, Josh Howard, JJ Redick, and Francisco Garcia were non-existant as they went a combined 7/26 from the field. The Boobcats are now 1-9 at home and 5-6 on the road.

In a related story, this ad was recently seen printed in the personals section of the newspapers in Kansas City, Seattle, San Diego, Louisville, and Baltimore.

Best game I ever played. Great game Jsence. Wolves def was out of their minds. Ginobli and Sefalosha couldnt miss and Flynn hit the inbound 3 with 1.7 to win it.

Pistons win a twin bill against two of the West's best!

Game 1: Thunder 60 @ Pistons 68--Stephen Jackson scores 17 despite shooting just 8 of 20, and the Pistons hold Monta Ellis to just 6 points in a very ugly win. The two teams combined for just 39 and 40 percent shooting, respectively; and they scored just 26 pts in the second quarter. The Pistons also only had 5 scorers, to go with the seven for OKC. However, Stevenson's 20 points were just not enough as Jackson made some big plays on both ends late to seal the tight win and avenge the buzzer-beater loss at OKC last season.

Game 2: Trail Blazers 71 @ Pistons 74--Jackson again came up big with another 17 pt performance on 8/14 shooting, and John Wall had 12 pts and 6 assists, including a step-back jumper with just 45 seconds left to take the lead, and then an layup with 9 seconds left after isolating Luol Deng and taking him to the rack with a strong finish. Deron Williams tried to keep his team in it, as he had a stretch in the late 3rd/early 4th where he took 7 of his team's 8 shots and scored 12 pts, cutting a 9 pt lead to 2 points. The Blazers would tie the game and then Williams would hit a three with 52 seconds left to go up 71-70; but then Wall said "Anything you can do, I can do better" and won the game for D-town. The Blazers had a chance to tie the game but didn't even get a shot attempt off. Patrick Patterson also added 9 pts off the bench to help build the lead, including 7 in the first half.

Great games Dealer and Talented; see you later this season Talented! GL the rest of the way to you both!

The Pistons use a 12-0 start to beat the Cavs 83-70. The Cavs were down 29-13 after one and just couldn't ever recover. Stephen Jackson had 15 points, capped off by one of the dunks of the year, and John Wall added 14 pts and 7 assists, but more importantly he helped get Andre Iquodala into major foul trouble, as he had 2 by the 6 min mark of the 1st quarter, his third a min into the 2nd, and a 4th foul late in the half, keeping him to just 16 min. Steph Curry had 11 points, all in the first 5 min of the game, as he came out nailing shots and got the Pistons off and running. He would finish 3/4 from downtown, one of his best performances all season. In the end, it was the turnovers (19 to just 8 for Detroit) that would be the major undoing for the Cavs.

Great game Niddler, GL the rest of the way!

In OT:
Thunder 105
Bulls 98

What a game this would be. The Bulls would jump out to an early lead at the end of the 1st quarter as they would be up 9. Paul Pierce would be unconcious as he would atleast make his 1st 7 shots of the game (might have been more) but OKC would come back in the 2nd quarter and have the lead cut to 1 by the half. Monta Ellis, Carl Landry and Dorell Wright would all come up huge in the game. Wright though would have the biggest shot. Down 3 with time running out in the game Wright would launch a 3 pointer as time would expire and hit it to force the game into overtime. In the OT Ellis and Landry would help lead the Thunder to a hard fought victory.

great game justgiver, that was a fun!

Pistons travel to Houston and play one of the most exciting games of the season, and the Pistons somehow steal a win--literally!--and head home with a 76-75 win. The game was a close affair the entire way, with the Rockets actually jumping out to an 8 pt lead in the 2nd quarter and the Pistons fighting back, and the two teams trading punches after that. But as the 4th quarter got deeper and deeper, the Pistons started struggling to score, and were down 69-62 with just under 5 min left. The Pistons would then go on a 14-6 run to finish it out. The Rockets were up 2 with under a minute to go when the Pistons missed two shots in close and had to foul Yao. He hit his two FTs to make it 75-71. Steph Curry would hit a three in the corner to make it 75-74; the Pistons then looked to foul. However, the Rockets gave them the best gift ever--they threw the inbounds pass RIGHT TO Curry, who was standing under the basket; he made a contested layup to give the Pistons the lead. The Rockets would have one last chance though, but Arenas' shot would be blocked by Duncan and the ball would go out of bounds off the Rockets with less than two seconds left. The Pistons' inbound pass would be stolen but it was too late for Houston at that point.

Curry scored 18 pts on 8/10 shooting, and Stephen Jackson added 18 of his own, as the Pistons went 10 of 13 from downtown to spearhead their win.

Without a doubt the most enjoyable game I've ever played of NBA 2k11, regardless of outcome; Hugme is truly a class act and kept me guessing constantly. A few huge turnovers late gifted me the win. Great game man, I'll try to find some time for us to get the 2nd in, I'd love to face off again!

It is all about the players. The difference between Howard and anyone else on my roster is incredible. With that said, Josh McRoberts abused me this season. Though a lot of that was just me playing over-aggressive D trying to smash everything that he put up.
