Re: ***Official NBA Playoffs Thread***
He had Kidd / Stevenson, 1 on 1, numerous times last night and he settled. That is passive.
I'm not ruling out Miami winning both games... I've been pretty open about that, mostly because of their fire power. But if Dallas punches them in the mouth Sunday night and Lebron doesn't show up, the critics are going to eat this up all off season and well in to next season.

Colin is defending Lebron a bit today. I figured his show would be more entertaining than Patrick this morning. Seems so.

the relentless interest in using lebron's inner circle's sex life to get to him is so interesting to me.
...still think they win the series and we should see a good effort in game 6

Re: ***Official NBA Playoffs Thread***
i appreciate you spending the time to get the stats and compare them with the different colors and stuff, but regular season averages are extremely unreliable in the playoffs. It's almost a completely different gameReignOnU wrote:And just to quickly debunk the "facilitator" crap...
Regular Season
MPG - 38.8
FG% - .510
3pt% - .330
FT% - .759
REB - 7.5
AST - 7.0
STL - 1.6
BLK - 0.6
TO - 3.6
PPG - 26.7
Finals
MPG - 44.2 UP 5.4
FG% - .453 DOWN .057
3pt% - .304 DOWN .026
FT% - .688 DOWN .071
REB - 7.8 UP .3
AST - 7.0 ---
STL - 1.8 UP .2
BLK - 0.4 DOWN .2
TO - 3.6 ---
PPG - 17.2 DOWN 9.5
Reb, Ast, Stl, Blk, TO are all coming in VERY close to his season average. (Even with a 14% increase in MPG) If I actually pulled per, these would all be slightly down.
All 3 % catagories are down... and scoring is drastically down. He's facilitating? Nah, he's just not scoring.
...and if we could stop mentioning Derrick Rose's MVP trophy ever again, it'd be swell

I hate to steal a thought from Barkley, but here's an interesting point to think about...
...would we be so hard on Lebron if, from the start, the player comparisons were made to Magic and not MJ?

Yes because ever since high school he was heralded as the next thing, the next big thing..mj or magic doesn't matter.
He had a cocky, swagger, confidence about him in high school and brought it to the NBA so the good comes with the bad moments.
In that article lots of "killer" and "instinct" talk, Dave and shel are gonna eat that ass!!!
He's basically calling bron a pussy and so is the rest of the mavericks and so far, it's pretty true.

guys postseason averages are almost always similar to their regular season averages.... almost always.

Re: ***Official NBA Playoffs Thread***
Until someone wins this series, I keep thinking and expecting James to have a 50 pt 13 rebound 12 assist night and be the freak that he is.
I cant see the Heat losing 2 at home, especially with Wade and James leading the way.
Heat win game 6 by 10

I seriously think that Lebron goes off in Game 6. Big time.

am I crazy to think that Dallas starting 5 is more talented than Miami's?

Marion < James
Terry < Wade? (in terms of is he a sg opr pg iunno im assuming sg cause of chalmbers)

Jeff means he can't see the Heat losing either of the next to 2 games at home. Can't see 2 home losses overall.jeffdaddy wrote:Until someone wins this series, I keep thinking and expecting James to have a 50 pt 13 rebound 12 assist night and be the freak that he is.

Maybe as a whole, but if you gave each starter a number representing their talent level, Miami would win. There is no excuse to go 7 when you have 3 superstars in their prime, all of whom can create their own shot.nick wrote:am I crazy to think that Dallas starting 5 is more talented than Miami's?

And I don't read that Adrian guy...ever, but he has a point. If Miami loses (which is very unlikely) then LeBron has to be considered as having the greatest finals failure in recent memory, if not ever, especially considering what people think of him.
But even if LeBron scores 100 points the next two games, Wade is still the MVP of this series and that can only change if Dallas wins.

Re: ***Official NBA Playoffs Thread***
so if LeBron loses he is the biggest failure ever and if they win no matter how good he does in the two most important games it won't make a difference.Matt90210 wrote:And I don't read that Adrian guy...ever, but he has a point. keep up the good work. that radio show should sparkle with such intelligent, thoughtful and objective analysis.

Won't make a difference? It'll certainly save him from the ridicule he's getting now, but to make him MVP of the series? Hell no.DRiccio21 wrote:so if LeBron loses he is the biggest failure ever and if they win no matter how good he does in the two most important games it won't make a difference.Matt90210 wrote:And I don't read that Adrian guy...ever, but he has a point. Re: ***Official NBA Playoffs Thread***
who said anything about him being the mvp? and he certainly could be MVP with a couple great games.
