E3 2011 Discussion

Watching on DVR so I am a little behind. Microsoft is killing it as usual. New Kinect stuff looks amazing. MW3 looked good. UFC PPVs will be on Live, and have a lot of interactive stuff going on, fighter profiles, fight predictions, etc. Gears of War 3 looks great. Forza 4 will use Kinect and looks awesome.

I like the Kinect use in the new Ghost Recon. Also nice that they allow you to fully customize your gun. Looks interesting.

Uncharted 3 looks like you would expect; great. I hate to say it but Resistance 3 (single player) looks very good. I need to see more MP tho.

Do they ever make new games anymore?

Same games over and over it seems with endless sequels.

New consoles = new titles. Look how many of these franchises started this generation. Right now, everybody is just cashing in on proven titles. Thankfully, most are great games.

Not too many. Hell, they are remaking/updating the original Halo for 360. Same could be said for Hollywood though. How many original movies are coming out these days? Seems like 90% are sequels or remakes of old TV shows/movies or comic book movies.

Sony's conference was weak. They hit the price point they needed to on NGP though at 249.99. The 3D TV and glasses were still too high and that was disappointing.

Seems like there is almost too much going on. Once you put vehicles into a FPS you start to lose me.
