I kind of had a four day weekend since my daughter was sick on Thursday. I played a ton of Red Dead Redemption, some NBA2k myplayer mode, some Combat Training with my son, and some LittleBigPlanet with the kids. I also watched Restrepo Friday night. I had been getting a little burned out on Black Ops but by last night I was ready to go again. I think this outage may rekindle my fire for it just a bit.
Wouldnt surprise me. Communication is the thing that pisses most folks off. Dont say 1 thing to customers knowing well that it wont happen. Second, Give us updates. I know these 2 can counter one another but be honest and upfront on what exactly is going on. What is being rebuilt and for what reasons. What does this mean for us long run, etc...........
Here is another Press Release. Good to use if you need more paper to wipe your ass with. Horseshit Double talk here. There is a timeframe, you just dont want to share it to continue to drive internet traffic to Sony's website. Sony could tell us the typical timeframe for a rebuild such as this. It is time intensive, but we just dont know how time intensive? So you are saying guys are working on something yet dont know how long it will take them?

I know you are waiting for additional information on when PlayStation Network and Qriocity services will be online. Unfortunately, I don’t have an update or timeframe to share at this point in time.
As we previously noted, this is a time intensive process and we’re working to get them back online quickly. We’ll keep you updated with information as it becomes available. We once again thank you for your patience.
I noticed that game updates still work. Bought MLB 11 this weekend and it had an update patched through before I could play it. Thought it was odd but happy I could start my franchise.

I'm sure there is an internal timetable. However, that is probably pretty flexible considering how much testing is going on. Each test could set the timetable back depending on what is discovered.

This is a huge fucking job.
My point exactly, tell us a timetable, tell us its flexible. Be honest and upfront on what they are working on. Tell us 2 weeks instead of 1-2 days initially.
It amazes me how many major companies do not practice the theory of under-promise, over-deliver. Anytime customer service is involved, this should be explored. Tell us it's 2 weeks. Piss us off. Then crank it out in 1 week and we'll be thrilled at how you were able to 'work hard for us.'
