Re: NDLH Kept Players
ok ill be the ahole.....but keeping THREE 2nd round picks adds up to jsence losing a 2nd , 3rd, a 4th?
i'd think 1st and 2nd.
i'd think 1st and 2nd.

Now how is that fair to me, to try to change the rules after the fact???
I didn't make the rules; I didn't have any input in them. I went by what rules were given.

I am calm....just felt singled out on that one
Had I known we were going to have this "keeper" setup, I wouldn't have traded away Pau Gasol, would've kept him and Wall.

Re: NDLH Kept Players
you were signaled out on that one. it has nothing to do with trades made. it has nothing to do with you at all really. its a question for dave and/or dealer.jsence2 wrote:

if you think keeping 3 seconds rounders is close to losing a 2nd, 3rd, and 4th....then you're crazy
Re: NDLH Kept Players
some people figure out ways to take advantage of the system. thats your answer.ajalves wrote:you were signaled out on that one. it has nothing to do with trades made. it has nothing to do with you at all really. its a question for dave and/or dealer.jsence2 wrote:

for 28 of the 30 teams i'd say it worked out very well. 1 guy got lucky with the lottery and 1 guy decided to keep 3 2nd rounders.
shit happens
Re: NDLH Kept Players
i really dont care about him keeping 3 second rounders, good for him. i just dont think he lost enough in terms of draft picks
Re: NDLH Kept Players
Wow, so now I took advantage of the system....
Like I said, had I known we were going to have this "system", I wouldn't have traded away Gasol (which brought in Curry), would've kept Wall/Gasol (round 1/2), and it wouldn't have mattered. I kept those three not because of their rounds, but because they're terrific two-way players, two of whom had rookie deals, that I really enjoyed playing with. Had I lost my first round pick in doing so, I probably still would've kept those three. I didn't keep them to "take advantage of the system" or to gain an unfair advantage.
I don't want people viewing me that way.....if they do and it's an issue, then I'll redo my keepers, I'd rather be viewed as a straight, honest player than to have fun with this game at the expense of my reputation.

how many times do i need to reiterate that it isnt a "you" issue. its a draft pick thing

The last post wasn't referring to your post, AJ, I know you're not singling me out.
That said, Dave referenced that I "abused the system", and it's not the first time he's made reference to it (apparently someone told him before the draft that I was trying to "find ways around the system"), so it's obviously an issue to some, and I don't want to be viewed that way

Re: NDLH Kept Players
nobody is viewing you any way... stop being so sensitive.
you're fine, nothing is changing. you have what you have and you did it fairly.
do i think you took advantage of the system, probably... but its not a bad thing. and also, and most importantly, who gives a shit?

Re: NDLH Kept Players
i dont think he meant you maliciously did anything. your situation was unique and you used it to your advantage. quit taking shit so personally. i was simply asking a "math" question
