Re: NFL Thread
went to the Steelers game today.
i dont care about how they won and all that stuff, just saying Steelers fans are fucking badasses.
there must have been 60/40 Dolphins to Steelers fans. i knew they travelled well but it was unreal how many were there.
i'm going to the Steelers-Saints next weekend on Halloween night in New Orleans, very interested to see how the turnout is there as Saints fans are a little more intense then Dolphins fans. Well at least they were before todays embarassment

Re: NFL Thread
Oakland is going to score 66.
1. They don't like Denver.
2. This is a brand new experience for every single player on the roster.

Steelers score 1 TD on offense, but put up 45 points on the board.

Tied the NFL record with 4. Who did he tie it with? Anybody know?jsence2 wrote:Wow, has anybody done a better job at reviving their career than DeAngelo Hall?
Just picked Cutler off for an NFL-record 4th time.

34/50 336 yards 1 TD 1 INT
and the kicker loses it for him

Re: NFL Thread
I still dont understand how they won as I was just watching on the computer but that looked like a fumble that Ben had at the goal line but who recovered and why did they kick a FG????DRiccio21 wrote:i dont care about how they won and all that stuff, just saying Steelers fans are fucking badasses.
Re: NFL Thread
lol, they ruled it a fumble after reviewing it, but had no clearcut evidence as to who recovered on replay, so Pittsburgh maintained possession.Cnasty wrote:I still dont understand how they won as I was just watching on the computer but that looked like a fumble that Ben had at the goal line but who recovered and why did they kick a FG????DRiccio21 wrote:i dont care about how they won and all that stuff, just saying Steelers fans are fucking badasses.

Re: NFL Thread
the thing i dont get is this
they called it a TD, a bunch of guys on BOTH teams stopped playing once they saw the TD signal and didnt go after the fumble.
if they stopped playing then how can it matter who got the fumble... i find that odd after the play is dead it can matter what happens next

Re: NFL Thread
when they came to the dome in 2006 it was nuts. we were walking from my parking hideaway through the main lots, and it was a sea of black and gold. they even heckled us, "welcome to heinz field." terrible towels were everywhere. i'm with you. it was 60-40 our fans, maybe 2/3 at best.DRiccio21 wrote:went to the Steelers game today.

Re: NFL Thread
i want to say it's a fairly new rule they put in place a couple of years ago. the intent was to give them an out if they reviewed and saw a fumble even if the whistle blew. usually, though, it's clear cut who fumbled it. today, not so much, i guess. kind of nuts, but they interpreted it as it is written. sucky way to lose a game, though.DRiccio21 wrote:the thing i dont get is this

How do you NOT know who recovered a fumble?
Whoever comes out of the pile with the ball recovered the fumble, lol.
I haven't seen this play yet, but it sounds like a crazy one.

Re: NFL Thread
when you see the replay, you'll see that the players mutually unpiled and determined among themselves that no one ever really had possession of it. they just left it laying on the ground. they then shook hands and apologized for various groin punches and eye gouges. it really restored my faith in mankind.shel311 wrote:Bernie32 wrote:lol, they ruled it a fumble after reviewing it, but had no clearcut evidence as to who recovered on replay, so Pittsburgh maintained possession.Cnasty wrote:I still dont understand how they won as I was just watching on the computer but that looked like a fumble that Ben had at the goal line but who recovered and why did they kick a FG????DRiccio21 wrote:i dont care about how they won and all that stuff, just saying Steelers fans are fucking badasses.
