I am not into politics at all, but I always said if I was running, my commercials would say, I could come on here and cut up the other guys like they do in their commercials, but I will not stoop to their level.
Here is what I am going to do when I get elected...

It is like a bunch of children lobbying why they are better than the other....I turn the channel as soon as see the shit!

I honestly get infuriated when I see attack ads. Usually its something taken way out of context, but knowing there are people out there that believe everything on TV infuriates me

the dumbest one i heard today was a guy attacking another guy cause he said social security was a ponzi scheme. when i heard him say that i was like 'wow, that guy is pretty intelligent cause thats spot on' then i heard the guy attack him for saying that and called it 'too extreme'. i was scratching my head at that one. the only thing i could come up with is most people don't even know what a ponzi scheme is so maybe if they put scary music behind it when he said that then it would sound like he was doing something bad to peoples social security.

if you haven't already, watch the video i posted in the 'where i'm from' thread about politics in my hometown... its legendary and the unintentional comedy in it is off the charts.

Linda McMahon, wife of Vince McMahon (WWE) is running for CT senate and she has been non-stop 2 mailings a week for about 6 months straight now, including the primaries. People are so sick of her. I picked up one mailing todya, where the customer wrote "return to sender" and A nice long letter to her in black magic marker, blasting her. I kinda felt bad cause since its third class mail , it only gets tossed in the recycle bin and doesn't go back. Poor lady wasted so much of her time and heart-felt emotions to her for nothing.

My favorite is an add in Illinois for Governor where they say, "Millionair Brady didnt pay taxes last year, and he owns a condo in Florida and drives a Porsche."

Thats pretty much it. The entire add attacks the guy for being wealthy.

What's is probably making them seem worse is that no longer are special interest groups kept from making commercials. And these groups, with names like Americans for Prosperity, or anything American, Freedom or Patriot sounding, even one named The United States Chamber of Commerce, don't have to tell us where the money is coming from. A lot of it is just anonymous crap and our Supreme Court put us in this mess.

I'm right on board with that. No matter who goes to Washington, they have to bow to the establishment for their own survival. Same with local politics.
