Bigger than Auburn/Alabama?

Nope, For me the biggest Rivalry is Bama/UT cause I live here. I hate Tenn more than AU. I honestly dont know what the biggest rivalry is but AU/Bama has to be top 3.

My "nothing compares to it" line was me saying from what I have seen.

That was a retarded statement by me

That word is just used to loosely

Dude read the thread and THINK about the past 6 years.

Since 2004, LSU-UF has without question been a rivalry.

In terms of all time, it's certainly not a rivalry, but in the past 6 years, no question about it.

This has nothing to do with SEC or not, I gave reasons why I think it's the best. You may not agree, but they're solid points.

Notice, I never said anything like "nothing compares to it" like you did. You've shown more bias than I have, so your cries about the SEC are pretty silly.
I think its a great game, but I don't think it touches some of the other in other category besides talent. I can't argue talent.

We need to outline what makes a great rivalry before we can move on.

I hear ya Dole.

IMO, when someone talks about a rivalry over the past 5 seasons, I think you can lump in teams that have had great matchups in that span, but aren't thought of as rivalries in the traditional sense.

doley's gettin heated hahaha

I don't think because 2 good teams have played a lot recently that it makes them a rivalry.

Like Boise-TCU isn't a rivalry, they just happened to play each other twice in a row

since 04 would be 6 years. lol

I don't mind lumping in "new rivalry's" but tradition and pageantry from the past can add to the hate and competition of the present. That's something I don't think Uf- Lsu has.

I am, and I should not be its dumb of me. I try very very hard to not get heated I just do.

I get really heated when People never give nods to anyone outside of the SEC.

At this point in time the SEC is the best. No doubt about it they have proven it year after year these past few years, but there are other schools out there in the world that have great programs that year after year are as good if not better.

If the SEC is that much better than everyone they should play their own title game. Their is a lack of respect for any other teams. It gets to me.

I like to think I am not a homer. I don't chant how good my school is every year and I often admit weakness. Maybe I am wrong. I also thinks it a cheap shot to call me jsence. That's a stab. That guy makes me wanna put cats in dumpsters.

Then this isnt the thread. A rivalry can not be in 6 years IMO.

Great games or battles? YES

Rivalries, no.

Dolie, WTF are you talking about?

Like I already said, I gave solid reasons. You don't have to agree with em. You got uppity with your comments, so you've basically been more of a homer in this thread then I have. And yet now you're off on some silly tangent ranting about God knows what here about the SEC homerism.

Everything you said that I just quoted has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with anything I've said.

When someone says what's the best rivalry since 2004, IMO, I don't think you can start your search with ONLY teams that have storied rivalries dating back 50+ years.

Agree to disagree, lol.

there is obviously some kind of bias in here because you guys haven't named one rivalry named on the west coast.

USC/UCLA, Oregon/OSU, Cal/Stanford, USC/Nd..........all these teams fucking cant stand one another but I am not gonna say one is better than the other.

I will say I am with Doley in that you can not call Bama/Uf a great rivalry when they do not play every year imo that is just off.

even from an outside perspective, the Civil War is pretty amazing.

Maybe we need to throw in to the mix a rivalry is when one team is 11-0 and the other is 0-11 and you still think the 0-11 team has a chance to win.

Recently, TAMU has done that to my school, Michigan has done that to tOSU

Get out of here with this UF /bama stuff. Its really only been a big game in the last 2 years. LMAO
simma champ.....its like it was stated. its all based on what you grew up with.

That said in my opinion...... the OU - Tex game has got to be top 2 if not the top BECAUSE it does happen every year and has for over 100 years. The national tittle implications make it great. The fact they are intra-division rivals make it great and its importance to the Texas State Fair is a plus. Its not just a game its a 2 state war.

In addition, equally as big, for most of those same reasons the Mich vs Ohio State game is interchangeable. Without the history then the NOW factor doesnt mean as much there isnt the hatred that built up on decades of memories, etc.

So all of you quit ya bitchin and get cha' popcorn ready. Its going to be a fun year of college football.
It just gets old with the SEC people Luis ya know.

You must have been deprived of air at birth, that is the only way you could possibly say UF is not rivals with FSU or UGA.

No clue how i missed that. Actually I do have a clue, i was too fixed on the LSU-UF thing, lol.

But Dolie will unfortunately be excluded from rivalry talk now after saying UGA and FSU aren't rivals of UF. Hell, it's there top 2 rivals overall.

LMAO

I am saying they are not rivals with every team they play. I understand they have rivals. In this thread I have been told they are rivals with. I was being a smart ass, because you all act like Florida is everyones rival.

BAMA
UGA
TENN
LSU
MIA
FSU

Some are rivalries. The others are tough games. BAMA AND LSU ARE TOUGH GAMES.
