Biggest Rivalry In Football - Now

Post by nick »

I don't want you thinking about your daddies team when they played X team 40 straight years, I wanna know like 2004-on what you think is the biggest rivalry in football.. right now.. just 1 game and then u can debunk others..

my pick

Texas vs. Oklahoma

hell, even as a bonus I'll tell you, IMO of course, which has fallen off..

Florida State vs Miami

holy did I used to get amped for this game at the beginning of the season..now? Eh, I don't even know it's playing. Last yrs game had an amazing ending but damn, it's just not the same :(

after watching the ohio state / michigan documentary on HBO I have finally been convinced the biggest rivalry isnt in the south

i highly recommend it by the way

i had no idea how the woody hayes era ended and though it was fascinating

what if that happened today with the media coverage we have

Bingo.

Those 3 teams have won 5 of the past 7 titles. Those games have been HUGE on each winning team's seasons.

And if I had to pick one from 2004 on like he said, it's LSU-UF. But in the past couple of years, obviously, it's been UF-Bama.

If someone made a documentary like that about the Iron Bowl, it would make that UM/OSU shit look weak. It is a very interesting documentary though.

3 years removed from a title,2 titles in the last 7 seasons, 9-4 last year(FSU was 7-6), finished in the top 20.

Not worse really, not even close actually. :D

So what makes it soooo obviously a better rivalry since 2004 than LSU-Florida???

You know the name of it by chance?

The local radio show had Lloyd Carr on the other day talking about that 1 v 2 game, notably about how Bo gave the team an inspirational talk that Thursday evening, then was pronounced dead Friday morning with the game Saturday. Intense stuff
