Announcement of NDL College Fantasy Football League Season 4

This is the first announcement for this year's NDL College Fantasy Football League, Season Four

Once again, it should be very similar to the previous three years, which includes redshirted players you then keep on your roster for their entire career, as well as a few keepers from the previous season. It will continue to be a pay league, $40 per entry, and we will try to keep it a 16-team league again. Last year it cost 14.95 to register online with the website, they will be releasing their pricing for the 2010 season soon, hopefully its the same or less.

The biggest change we made last year was using an on-line site, U-Sports, and we will do so again, though the draft will continue to be done through the message boards. Biggest change I'm considering for this year is to go to a 8-team playoff instead of using total W-L records.

Below is the list of last year's coaches. Let me know if you plan on coming back, if you plan on not coming back, or if you would like to join in for this year. Also, feel free to leave feedback on other changes you might want.

The draft would begin on July 1st, everyone would need to have paid their money and registered with the website by that date.

i'm back and i definitely think we should go to a playoff... not sure if 8 is the right # tho.

seems like it'd shorten up the regular season too much. i'd vote for a 4 team playoff

If we are using an online site, I'd love to come back. My Season 2 was ruined by a crappy draft, suspended keepers, and a frustration over using the forums ... mostly crappy draft, though.

We may put it to a vote once we get all the final coaches in, if a majority feel four is better then eight, then we would probably go with that.

My team sucked. At one point, Alexander Robinson was my best HB.

In for sure. I'm not a fan of the playoffs idea, especially with 8 teams. Maybe with 4, but for sure not 8.

I say 4 team playoff is probably best as well..... OR even a 6 team playoff with the top 2 getting a bye to the next round. I always liked that playoff system! Its realistic!

COUNT ME IN! i say go with 4 teams in playoffs. it would take away from the already short regular season. we can do the following so guys can follow it all the way through to the end-

1-every week we can play 2 games. head to head (like we have been doing) and play top 8 high scoring teams for the week get another win, and bottom 8 get another lose. with us already cutting into the regular season by 2 weeks to have a playoff, the truely better teams week in week out will rise to the top.with only having a 11 week season, you wont have a team playing the right team every week which everybody knows shouldnt be there going for a championship. the truely top teams will rise if they keep scoring points.

Ok guys, looks like we are good, 16 coaches are in, I should have some details up very soon, just waiting for U-Sports to reopen for 2010 which they should do any day now.

Also, this week I'll be sending you your rosters from last year. I will show you your redshirts (you may drop a total of one redshirt if you wish), and then you will also choose two players to keep from your team from last year. Trendon and Tball, you will be assigned either Texasfan's or BigStimpin's team, and then we'll go from there.
