Re: Deal Sites
Comes with a list of stipulations for use. The first one you have to spend $50 in order to use it. SHouldn't be a problem, since it's a rather pricey restaurant. For $4 this ain't bad at all. Both have to be used at Dinner only. I have removed the gift certificate number so i can actually use them. THey print out on one sheet of paper.

Second one is just $35 to spend in order to use the certificate.

Hollywood or anyone else, am I missing something and this is too good to be true?

$.86 for brand new HDMI cords????
I'm a firm believer of "you get what you pay for", so I'm a natural skeptic.

Re: Deal Sites
That is a great deal for HDMI, but it does not say that it is 1.3b certified, which means it may not be able to display 1080P, only 1080i.
All HDMI are not created equally.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HDMI
I know it is wikipedia, but I have confirmed this information with Hometheater magazines and other sources...
Also, 1.3 or higher optionally supports Deep Color, with 30-bit, 36-bit, and 48-bit xvYCC, sRGB, or YCbCr, compared to 24-bit sRGB or YCbCr in previous HDMI versions. It also optionally supports output of Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio streams for external decoding by AV receivers.
Any time you need cheap cables and cannot find a great dea, use:
http://www.monoprice.com/home/index.asp
They have TV wall mounts and a bunch of stuff at a great price. And they are legit. I have ordered from them before.
And they are great if you need like a 16' HDMI to run in a wall or something.

And as far as daily deal site:
I check:
Woot.com
1saleaday.com
CowBoom.com
dealadaytracker.com
dodtracker.com
The 2 above are nice as they track many different deal sites for you.
us.corporateperks.com
amazon.com and then the Today's Deal link at the top.
Microcenter.com and then Deal of the day on the right.
And I check giveawayoftheday.com for little free software programs now and then.
a few more:
slickdeals.net
forums.anandtech.com - Under Merchandise and Shopping, there is a Hot Deals thread. Similar to slickdeals.

Thanks man, that's the kinda info I'm looking for!!!The_Niddler wrote:That is a great deal for HDMI, but it does not say that it is 1.3b certified, which means it may not be able to display 1080P, only 1080i.
That being said, my main TV has 1080P and already have HDMI cords for that.
This set will be for my 2nd TV, which doesn't have 1080P, so I guess I'm good to go with this cheap cord?
Sounds good.

$2.63, and free shipping. I'm willing to take a chance on this cheap cord.

Most people cannot see the differences anyways. It all looks good on paper and the technicality of it all.ajalves wrote:The_Niddler wrote:That is a great deal for HDMI, but it does not say that it is 1.3b certified, which means it may not be able to display 1080P, only 1080i.

But I agree, most people would not be able to truly see the differences if you didnt tell them which is which and have them choose.

As for the HDMI cords, not a bad deal obviously for $4 or $5 for S&H. But you can get em on Amazon for like $2.50 or something with no shipping. Just throwing it out there, lol.

Bought 3 pairs of Billabong, Hurley, and DC board shorts for a total of $60 on Whiskey Militia as compared to $60 for one pair at PacSun.
Great site.
Great site.
Re: Deal Sites
Running on TigerDirect.com -- Flip UltraHD Pocket Digital Camcorder for $99.99. Originally $129.
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications ... tigeremail
Enter code UYX2335 at checkout to save the $30.
I have a regular Flip cam, but these work great for little video cameras if you are looking for something like this.
