NDL:L - End of Regular Season

Post by ReignOnU »

I'm wrapping up the end of the regular season today. Unfortunately, there are quite a few sims that I need to go through, so it's probably an all day process.

I'll make a decision on the final idea for the playoffs soon. Most like, I'm going to take the 16 most active teams, seed them by standings and go from there.

The lack of activity towards the end of the season was a big let down. I need to know from you guys if you're interested in another season. If not, I'll host the tournament here. If so, I'll reup the league on League Daddy. If we do opt for another season (which I'd like to do!), then we WILL be dropping down to 24 or LESS teams. The coaches that had issues with activity, but would still like to play will be sent to a wait list.

Let me know what you guys think.

I'm in with less people. Finding games was just a chore this season.

I think the biggest issue was March Madness. It took away from time to play games. I am in for another as long as I don't get Kansas, they can't tackle worth anything. I am not lying when I say it took at least two guys to make a tackle each time!

I'd probably be out for a second season.

Seemed hard as fuck to schedule games even when catching people on AIM.

I agree on the scheduling part and March Madness.

I think 1 change is going to be the team threads. We'll go to a specific thread for each game. Then both coaches have 1 spot they are responsible for communicating. Also, it means posting in more threads and putting in a little more effort. Which, if that's the case, means that the guys that are using them are involved in the league.

When I went through the list of teams and looked for active v. semi-active v. inactive, I did see 16 (actually 18) that really made an effort. I'd hope we keep the majority of those coaches, because I could see us turning a season in 3 weeks or less with a core like that.

Although even with myself I can see interest wavering I'd make a concerned effort in another season.

I thought you did a great job of trying to get your games in stimpin.

For the record, I'll probably throw up a new signup thread this week, while I'm @ work.

I know I kind of dropped the ball late season as well, but just recently took on a 2nd job (schedule still not a horrible issue though, still home by 4 or 5 every day. But like was mentioned, it seemed basketball was on every night and it's really the only time I watch much basketball. I'd be up for a 2nd season, but if I have to come off the wait list I would understand that too.

I'll play 1 more year if I can...i know I had 4 simms, was out of town for 9 days and when I got back the tourney had started so it got tough to get games in.
we need a better way to schudule for each week and maybe better teams.

as you know I will be back....

I agree about the change of the scheduling thread...keep it like NDL and that should help. I know that I didn't really have any problems getting games in minus 1 game that got simmed because the coach seemed to drop of the face of the planet...but that will happen....
Most nights from 6-8 pm eastern I can run
