Re: Online Dynasty 300 (NEW 2010!)
Alright fellas, it's the moment of truth, time for the BCS Selection Show! But first.....awards time!
Here are the league-wide award winners:
Heisman: In a vote that saw the favorite, Andre Debose, suddenly disappear from voting due to an injury late in the SEC title game, the award was won by Oklahoma State WR Adrian Richards in a run-away victory. Florida fans called shenanigans, as their man was not even voted for.
Was there a payoff from Coach Talented? You be the judge! The final numbers were:
Richards--114 catches, 1830 yds, 24 TD 345 YAC; 23 KR, 674 yds, 2 TD, 29.3 yds per; 47 PR, 396 yds, 8.4 yds per
Debose--52 carries, 472 yds, 20 TD; 99 catches, 1520 yds, 11 TD 718 YAC; 22 KR, 773 yds, 2 TD, 35.1 yds per; 46 PR, 597 yds, 13 yds per
Maxwell Award (given to top offensive player) WR Andre Debose, Florida
Bednarik Award (given to top defensive player) FS Dan Porter, Oklahoma State
Doak Walker Award (given to top RB) Kyle Staley, Oklahoma State
Belitnikoff Award (given to top WR) Richards, OKS
Rimington Award (given to top C) Chad Clayton, Miami
Lombardi Award (given to top DL) DE Earl Okine, Florida
Thorpe Award (given to top DB) Porter, OKS
Groza Award (given to top placekicker) Jake Wieclaw, Miami
Best Returner Specialist HB Cierre Wood, Notre Dame
Coach of the Year Coach Cnotes, for his ACC Championship and twice defeating Florida State, along with a tough road win at Michigan, and a 12-1 record on the season.
First up, some of the smaller bowls:
Las Vegas Bowl: USC vs New Mexico
Outback Bowl: South Carolina vs Ohio State
And now....the BCS Games:
Rose Bowl, Presented by Citi: Michigan (Big Ten Champs) vs Washington (Pac-10 Champs)--Michigan will get a traditional Rose Bowl game, and should roll easily, although Washington has defeated 4 teams with at least eight wins, including UCLA, USC, and Arizona State.
AllState Sugar Bowl:Florida (SEC Champs) vs Florida State (at-large)--a rematch of a week 12 Rivalry Game that saw FSU escape with a 23-21 victory. Florida will face their hated rivals without WR Andre Debose, who broke his elbow late in the SEC title game, and FSU should have their starting QB back, so this game will look a lot different.
Tostito's Fiesta Bowl: Oklahoma State (Big XII champs) vs West Virginia (Big East champs)--should be an easy win for OKS, as West Virginia ran the table in the weak Big East without a major win to point at.
FedEx Orange Bowl: Miami (Big East champs) vs Penn State (at-large)--This will be a very good game, two top-ten teams loaded with talent. Penn State does not have a marquee win on their resume, but they will give Miami problems.
and of course....The BCS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP: Notre Dame vs TCU--TCU looks to bust up the establishment, running a 12-0 record against the Fighting Irish, who just squeaked in ahead of Florida. TCU boasts the #4 rush offense in the nation and the #15 pass offense, vs ND's #3 rush offense. Notre Dame should dominate on talent alone, but that's why they play the game!!!

Re: Online Dynasty 300 (NEW 2010!)
great write up Jsence. How can I switch teams? I've done all I can do at Okie State, time to move on.
Re: Online Dynasty 300 (NEW 2010!)
Who do you want to take? I'll switch you during this week, you'll take over at that school for the bowl game.Talented wrote:great write up Jsence. How can I switch teams? I've done all I can do at Okie State, time to move on.

Hmmm....I'm not sure Oklahoma State would allow you to leave to go in-conference.Talented wrote:Texasjsence2 wrote:Who do you want to take? Not a type, remember he really is running the Florida spread. Using Debose just like Harvin was used a few seasons back.
Re: Online Dynasty 300 (NEW 2010!)
Ok, that makes sense. I guess I just usually ignore real Florida games.fsupenguin wrote:cnotes008 wrote:LOL, that must be a typo cuz thats not realisticUCWeiser wrote:Wow, a WR with 20 rushing TDs.

Lol yeah, Pengy's seen it in action, but he killed Debose and made him fumble so I got hesitant to run it with him any more.UCWeiser wrote:Ok, that makes sense. I use the Miss St playbook--has a different looking Wildcat formation (lot more ways to use it), the Gator formation (which I go with my physical WR in the back, to protect my QB), and then all those spread option runs, etc. I got leads and ran all second half, due to the "sportsmanship" stuff, and he benefited from it.
WE HAVE ADVANCED! We are in Week 3 of bowl games, we'll advance no later than Tuesday night!

Game is in, he said he will advance us in the morning.
Re: Online Dynasty 300 (NEW 2010!)
I've had a lot of personal stuff going on the past few days; I put myself on autopilot so Pengy could get our game in.OracleHCR wrote:No Recap????

Re: Online Dynasty 300 (NEW 2010!)
Notre Dame shows TCU they need to stick to second tier opponents and not to try and play with the big boys. The Irish blanked the highly ranked Horned Frog offense 52 - 0. Let's go to the offseason.
Re: Online Dynasty 300 (NEW 2010!)
Congrats to Notre Dame and Oracle on winning the Season 4 title!
We are into players leaving; I will advance us at 8 pm Saturday unless asked to delay. I'm hoping to get us through the recruiting quickly, so I can move the OD onto my name and thus advance us much easier and on time (if Matt is on, I have to wait until he's done; and even then it takes about 15 minutes to switch, get it advanced, etc).
