ANK'S WEEK 5 GAME OF THE WEEK!
This week there was alot of Big NDL games I wanted to right about. I love the game in the PAC-10 as Washington State, fresh off their upset of #1 USC, as they battle Big Mike and the Oregon Ducks. Or how bout the battle for the Commander in Cup trophey as upstart Navy 3-1 battles Air Force out west. And of course how can you not mention the fact that Miami and Coach Walker visit Norman in a game of top 10 matchups! What a week in the NDL!
#2

This week I decided to travel down to SEC country as Shell and his LSU Tigers vist the Hedges in Athens against Coach Pound and his Georgia Bulldogs! LSU will be the new king on top of the NDL hill this week, but ask Paksy or Nole how that worked out for them?
Lsu is setting pretty right now as Coach Shell has the entire NDL chasing his shirt-tales. LSU is 4-0, with this week and next against (fla.) being their toughest games remaining.
As for Georgia, first year coach RTP had an early slip-up against S. Carolina that not only hurt their title hopes, but maybe the SEC championship is out the window also. As the Dawgs still have trips to Tenn., Fla., and in-state foe Georgia Tech down the road. Then again this could be an early preview for the SEC title game in Atlanta later this season.

It will be a SEC battle between the Hedges!
WHEN GEORGIA HAS THE BALL
Watch for Georgia to keep it balanced for most of the game, they love what Calab King can do on the ground and this might be the best front line in the NDL. King has rushed for 355 yards on the young season and got into the end-zone an impressive 7 times already. Coach Pound has decided to start youngster Aaron Murray early in the season for some reason. So far Murray has played up to his pre-season billing as he has thrown for 1200 yards and 7 TD's, but his 9 picks might have Coach RTP thinking about inserting Joe Cox this game or real soon.
Murray seems to have found a early season target in wide-out Marlon Brown...Brown was not my first choice when throwing the ball, but the chemistry is there so stick with it. Brown leads the receivers in catches and touchdowns from his slot position.

Green has to step up and lead this group of wide-outs!
A.J Green is still the money wide-out on this team....his 372 yards lead the Bulldogs and his 13 catches is 2nd on the team. He also leads the team in yards after contact which makes him a threat at anytime.
The O-Line is big and nasty! C Ben Jones (only a Soph.) is the leader of the experienced group...watch for UGA to run a lot of counters where this athletic line can get to the corner and open up masive running lanes.
The georgia offense is explosive as they are 14th in scoring in the NDL and #1 over all in offensive touchdowns. The have many weapons on this team and go several deep at many positions.
LSU is very diciplined on defense, they stay with their assignments and beat you up physically. The Tigers lead the NDL in sacks with 18 and also lead the league with 15 interceptions. Coach Shell will come after you and force you out of your comfort zone and this more then not will lead to turnovers and mistakes. Did I mention LSU is also #1 in defensive take-aways in this season?
On defense the Tigers are led by MLB Jacob Cutrera, and Chris Hawkins. Cutrera leads the team with 22 tackles as he both fills the holes and is known for his outside speed. What Jabob don't get too, then Mr. Hawkins is there to clean up the job. Hawkins leads this LSU defensive squad with 5 interceptions, 3 touchdowns, 5 pass deflections and 1 fumble recovery. This defense is fast and flies to the ball, what a match-up a great offense verse a superstar filled defense.
WHEN LSU HAS THE BALL
LSU is lead by duel-threat quarterback Jordan Jefferson, Jefferson has settled down under Coach Shell and became more of a passer this year. The Sophmore has completed 41-60 passes for 8 touchdowns and 957 yards. Jefferson's favorite wideout early this year is T. Toliver. Terrence is a big receiver with soft hands, this makes him the perfect canidate for going over the middle where Lsu loves to throw the ball. Watch for Toliver to find the soft spot in the georgia zone early and Coach Shell will eat this up...this will force Geogia to vacate the zone early and have to play man to man against the much more pysical LSU wide-out's. Advantage LSU!
The Tigers also have a little thunder and lighting in their backfield. Scott has rushed for 271 yards and 4 scores, while counterpart speed freak T. Holiday has gone for 129 yards on just 14 carries. Holiday has the speed to hit one out of the park every carry, while Scott just looks for contact and YAC yards.

The Hawkins/Green match-up should be a key to the game!
The Bulldogs have the team speed to keep up with LSU on the edges and a front 7 that has been known to bring the pads.
Roderick Battle and Bryan Evans are the leaders on the defense as far as numbers go, but everyone knows Rennie Currin is the emotional leader that plugs it all in.
Evans leads the team with 31 tackles, and also in forced fumbles and recoveries with 2 each. He gets to the ball quickly and loves to make contact.
Down in the trenches is where Battle does his work, the DE leads the team with 4 sacks and is a beast in the persuit to the ball carrier.
Watch for Georgia to jam the middle and play a early amount of zone to confuse the young LSU quarterback..but if Scott and Coach Shell can run the ball successful the Dogs will be looking for answers early in this game.
WHO HAS THE EDGE?
Quarterback--Push
Neither QB has established himselve yet in my eyes...maybe the winner of this game..gets a leg up for next season.
Runningback--LSU
No doubt here, the man-child Charles Scott is a stud..throw in Williams and Holiday and they are loaded.
Wide-outs--Georgia
A.J. Green isnt even the best wideout on this Dog team right now...wait until he wakes up! Green has a breakout game tonight if UGA has any shot.
O-Line--Georgia
I coached at Georgia for 2 seasons..this is the best O-line in the SEC, maybe the best in the NDL!
D-Lines--LSU
This is where the game will be won...Can that great O-line of UGA handle Rahim Alem and the rest of the LSU and their NDL leading 18 sacks?
Linebackers--Push
WOW! Is the SEC loaded with great LBing cores? These 2 might be the 4th or 5th best in the NDL...but neither can compare with Bama or Florida from the SEC! Should be fun to watch!
Defensive Backs--LSU
The are the #1 unit in the NDL right now, 18 ints. already on the season and watch for Jai Eugene to play big in this one.
I see this one being a close game thoughout..watch for LSU to control the clock and the game with the ground attack. Georgia will keep it close cause its in Athens, but a late turnover makes it look worse then it really was. Shell avoids the #1 upset curse this week...but then a home date with florida awaits!
LSU 32 Georgia 17
PLAYER OF THE GAME

C. Scott looks to carry the load and break hearts in Athens!

Michigan St. (3-1) vs #17 Illinois (3-0)
The Michigan St. Spartans travel to Champaign to take on the Illinois Fighting Illini. The Spartans only loss came on the last play of the game to a top 25 Wisconsin team, so Illinois has to be sure not to overlook these guys.
What to expect when Michigan St. has the ball: All the Spartans will do is pass, pass and a few more passes. Michigan St. will run the ball, but that will be the least of the worries for the defense. Quarterback Kirk Cousins is completing 83% of his passes, throwing for just over 350 yards per game and has 15 touchdowns to just 2 interceptions.
What to expect when Illinois has the ball: The Fighting Illini will get things done on the ground. Running back Daniel Dufrene already has rushed for nearly 500 yards and 7 touchdowns in just 3 games. Juice Williams has done all that is needed out of him to this point. He just 16-21 passing for 274 yards and 1 touchdown (no interceptions).
What to expect out of the defenses: The key units in this game are the Illini pass defense and the Spartan run defense. Illinois is allowing 218 yards per game through the air but have had 13 interceptions already this season. Michigan St.'s run defense is allowing 113 yards per game. Dufrene is looking forward to getting a shot at the defense.
Coaching Matchup: Coach Talented has had a pretty successful last 3 seasons in the NDL. His combined record is 30-6 over that span. This is Coach Weasal's 7th season at Michigan St. now. He has yet to finish below .500, but the best two seasons were just 9-3 and 8-4, the only two seasons he finished above .500 in the conference.
What will happen: Illinois will be content pounding the ball all game to keep the Spartans offense off of the field. Michigan St. will need to create a early turnover or get an early stop to put the pressure on Illinois and try to get them throwing the ball. I think the Spartans are more likely to make that early mistake though. Illinois lost this game last season, I don't think it will happen again. Prediction: Illinois 27 Michigan St. 21

Upset Alert Week 5 by sammy33
Four weeks into the season and we have seen some ranked teams struggle out the gate. In the last block we saw Florida, South Carolina, TCU, and Miami lose games to bring them a little closer to the pack. In the Big Ten (Eleven?) we may have seen the changing of the guard, as Iowa and Illinois combined to have impressive showings against Ohio State and Penn State. Will they also fall victim to the upset bug? Only time will tell.
In this edition, there were a few matchups that caught my eye. Tennessee may have their hands full with the Tigers, as NO SEC game is easy. Can the Cougars keep their momentum and pull a shocker over Oregon? Can USC rebound against Best and Cal? There were a few others with the little guys that caught my eye. With so much focus being on the Big Ten, this week’s pick comes from there.

Honestly, this was a hard one to pick. I’m a big fan of bigred, both for his accomplishments and his gameplay. After a loss to the Sooners and one of his coach rivals, he has ran off three consecutive wins against good teams, two of which who likely will be ranked by the end of the season. While Champ had a close loss on the road against Virginia, he bounced back by picking up a conference win against Northwestern. Though this game tends to lead to high-scoring totals, this conference tends to have very physical games. This game will be no different, as both teams will look to take special care of the ball on offense. The Gophers will have a tough time pulling this one off, but here are the three things that must do to have a chance:
1 – Do something about John Clay
Ultimately, I think this is the one thing that can cause the most trouble for Minnesota. This one breaks into two separate issues. The first is that they can’t have him pounding away at them for four quarters. He is a beast and will only pick up confidence if he continues to have success as the game goes along. Also, they need to find a way to do it without having to bring the safeties up in the box. Single coverage and no help over the top could expose them bigtime in the passing game.
2 – Win the turnover battle
Both of these teams have won every game that they have won that battle. With the power running game, Minnesota is going to need to take possessions away in order to help limit Clay’s touches. Gray has to make good decisions with the ball and avoid the backbreaker that is the INT. Defensively they have to find someway to get turnovers. Wisconsin has done a great job of protecting the ball thus far, so the Gophers have a tall order.
3 – Get off the field on third down
When facing teams that focus on the ground attack, you usually end up with a lot of third downs with short or medium distance. The Gophers are going to need to avoid a ton of the short ones, while also being able to force the punt. A lot of pressure is going to be put on the defense to have some form of success against this offense. This is one of the big areas. If they struggle here, lots of pressure will be put on Gray to put up points. Not the situation you want to be in against this defense.
Prediction?
I think the Badgers will still be able to well enough on the ground to have a lead for most of the game. I see the Gophers hanging around and being to tie things up in the second half. From there things will be even as both teams will do just enough to stay close. OT? I see a chance of that. Gophers hold for a fg and answer with a TD to pull it off.
Gophers 21 – Badgers 17 in OT
Good luck to both coaches!
Upset Alert for Week 6

Michigan (3-1) at #8 Iowa (4-0) - This game features the leading rusher in the league so far this season. Michigan's Brandon Minor is averaging almost 25 carries and 163 yards per game. Iowa relies on the arm of Ricky Stanzi, but he has thrown 9 interceptions compared to just 5 touchdowns. Michigan has catapulted in the standings thanks to a upset of top ranked Florida to open the season. They also just beat another Top 10 team in Penn St. Hawkeye fans have to be a little worried after needing to score the final 10 points to knock off a Iowa St., a team they dominated except for a couple of poor Stanzi passes.
What will happen: Will the Hawkeyes be able to limit the turnovers? They can't afford to give Michigan a short field. They need to make sure the game doesn't rely on the shoulders of Brandon Minor. Iowa needs to make Tate Forcier beat them. In 3 wins, Forcier through 2 interceptions. In the one loss he had 4. I believe both teams will make their fair share of mistakes and the added pressure Iowa has after vaulting into the top 10 gets the best of them. Michigan will win with a late touchdown drive.
Prediction: Michigan 28 Iowa 24

Thank Jesus I am alive edition.

Well as many of you know.... I was in a crazy car accident last night. My car was demolished, and I am lucky to be typing this now. Everyone should always wear their seat belt because I am living proof that it saves lives.
In the blink of an eye our life here can end so make the most of it fellas. I am truly honored to be a member of this league so if I bash anyone its all in fun on here.
Looking back at last week I am 1-0
Bigmike really did take Dolla's ass to funky town where he met up with these homo's

I predicted Bigmike would win 35-0. The final score was 33-7 I talked to Mike about it and he said he felt bad for Dolla so he gave him a pity score. I say fuck pity. Rape, Murder, and Kill the WEAK.

This week we will look at the weak ass members who have not played games heading into weeks 5 & 6 making them extra WEAK!!! pie !
Week 5 Virgina Tech @ DUKE
This is a mismatch of epic proportions. Crowes has only lost games to Top 10 teams and really has no chance of losing this one. The thing is the game may take all season to get played. Wildes has been kinda MIA. he posted about a few games to start the season and then VA-MOOSE!
If he does show up Crowes is going to use this household sanitizer on him

But really lets get our fucking games in guys, or at least give 5 minutes of your time to tell people "Hey I can't play. I really fucking blow at this game, and I am too big a pussy to take the beating your going to hand me like a man." Instead you probably think you do have some skill and you make retard excuses just like when you try to tell your friends you have a girlfriend, but no one ever sees her. Your probably better at sex than anyone, now all you needs is a partner.
FUCK YOU! PLAY YOUR GAME
If the game ever happens.
Prediction VT 33 - Duke 14
Week 6 North Texas @Louisiana-Lafayette
I feel bad for Tball. The guy is 0-3 and has been playing his games on time and is really looking for a win. Thing is the two game he has not played are against 2 douchelords that have not played a single game this season. One of these douchelords is the "cream de la crem" in the "Hierarchy of Douchery."

I mean it's really WEAK when you can't make one single post on the boards. He has not been seen in the scheduling thread or the absence thread. This guy has to soon be on his way to out the door.
Are you brain-dead Jake?
Are your parents siblings?
COME ON Let us know what the hell is up or play your games.

Prediction UNT 7 - ULL 0 (Sim win)

Tune in next week when I post my sex tape

I love everyone in the ndl, and this is written for comedy purposes. I understand sometimes real life events happen and games take a back seat. Trying to get a laugh while taking a bashing you all into playing. GOD BLESS EVERYONE -TINY TIM

BigRy’s Bitter Rivals
Welcome to NDL Bitter Rivals edition one. Rivals in college football make our blood boil, bring out the best and sometimes worst (not in the NDL though) and the games are usually fought until the bitter end. One team basks in the glory of a rival victory, in state dominance, fans gloat, and the losing teams prepares for the next meeting.
Game 1 Michigan@ Michigan State

Strengths-Michigan State has big time aerial tack under Coach Weasel. QB Cousins has stepped up out of nowhere to lead a high flying aerial assault. The Offensive line is good enough to give him protection to get the ball downfield. The wrs are led by BJ Cousins and Fred Smith. Both players are big targets who can jump up for balls and run after the catch.
Weaknesses-Besides super linebacker Greg Jones the defense lacks playmakers however Smith is an all over the field wrecking ball who flows well to the ball and has great instincts in the pass game. An offensive weakness is MSU has no real good running backs but they are not needed in this offensive attack.
Intangibles- Coach Weasie, is a Sparty veteran. He knows his team and knows exactly what they can and cannot do. He competes each season atop the Big 10.

Strengths- Michigan’s strength is in the backfield. UM has two backs that are capable of breaking a game wide open. Both Brandon Minor and Carlos Brown can break it for a big gain at almost any time. UM currently is second in the NDL averaging well over 200 yards per game.
Weaknesses-The glaring weakness is the Michigan passing offense. While Tate Forcier is a talented young quarterback he cannot carry the team to a victory. The wide receivers are not much of a help either.
Intangibles-Coach Hart knows his team very well and after a few disappointing seasons early indications are Michigan has things turned around and could compete for the Big 10 title with their devastating rushing attack.
Prediction h I can’t pick Sparty, Michigan 27 Michigan State 21

Game 2 Nebraska Missouri

Strengths- Ndumkong Suh and the rest of the Nebraska defense. The Cornhuskers have a defense that can administer a beat down on the opposing offense at any time. The defense is the strong point of this team allowing only 13 points per game. Offensively, Cody Glenn leads a strong rushing attack averaging 99 yards a game.
Weaknesses- Nebraska’s total offense is ranked 88th in the NDL. If the Mizzou defense is up the task this could be Nebraska’s Achilles heel. Other than that Nebraska is a very complete team.
Intangibles-Coach Sammy is an experienced coach with his beloved Huskers. He knows his team well and has proven he can win the Big 12 North.
[imghttp://www.leaguedaddy.com/images/ncaa/helmets/Missouri.gif[/img]
Strengths- The Mizzou spread offense has the ability to move the ball easily if the matchups go their way. The Tigers have multiple weapons whom if they can get the ball in space could give the Husker defense a tough game.
Weaknesses- The Mizzou defense is a soft unit allowing over 100 yards per game. This does not bode well playing a Nebraska team that prefers to pound the ball.
Intangibles- Coach Kdog has a home game vs Nebraska. If Missouri starts off the game well and keeps the mistake to a minimum they could pull the upset.
Prediction[/b Nebraska 31 Missouri 14

Nebraska leads the Battle for the Missouri-Nebraska by one game, 9-8.

Will be back next week when Round 2 of the cup opens!

ANK'S HEISMAN WATCH 4 WEEKS INTO THE SEASON

A FUN FACT ABOUT THE HEISMAN!
Paul Hornung, nicknamed the "Golden Boy," won the Heisman Trophy in 1956 as the year’s outstanding College football player in the United States and is the only player from a losing team (his University of Notre Dame team finished 2-8 that year) ever to win the trophy.
No interior lineman on either side of the ball has ever won the award, although the offensive guard Tom Brown of Minnesota and the offensive tackle John Hicks of Ohio State placed second in 1960 and 1973, respectively. The defensive end Hugh Green of the University of Pittsburgh finished second in 1980 and Ndamukong Suh of Nebraska finished fourth in 2009 as a defensive tackle. Also, Kurt Burris, a center for the Oklahoma Sooners football team, was a runner-up for the award in 1954.
THE SUPER SIX AND MORE!
1.

Brandon Minor--RB, Michigan
Minor had a great couple of weeks as he rushed for 335 yards and 5 scores as Michigan went 2-0 and improved to 3-1 on the year. Brandon has shown Coach Hart that he not only wants, but can be the man on this Michigan team.
Minor looks like a early front-runner with his 649 yards and 7 TDs. Lets see if we have any drop-off as Big-10 play begins for Coach Hart and the Wolverines.
Up next: @ Michigan St. and @#8 Iowa
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2.

Everson Griffen--DE, Southern Cal.
Griffen continues to impress with his ability and just plain raw talent. The DE is on pace to smash the sacks record with 33 at this rate...but can he keep it up? Griffen's 2 weeks was not nearly as productive as the previous 2 before as he only recorded 6 tackles, 3 FL and 3 sacks as the trojans was upset by WSU. Still Everson's overall stats still earn him a sport on the Heisman list for now. His 11 sacks in just 4 games still lead the NDL, but teams are quickly starting to avoid him and this may hurt his numbers in conference play.
Up next: @ #21 California and a bye.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3.

Jacory Harris--QB, The U.!
Harris and the Canes had a rough go off things up in Blacksburg as they was shell-shocked in a 54-35 beat down from Coach Crowes and the Hokies. Harris had decent numbers as he went 20-30 2 TD's but 3 interceptions are an early black eye for the youngster. Harris is still a Heisman hopeful but another performance like this and he could be on the Where did he go section. Right now Harris did enough the first 2 weeks to earn a spot on my list and his numbers are still impressive. On the season Harris has a QB rating of 247.8 with 7 touchdowns and 3 picks. The Canes are 2-1 but must keep winning if he wants to remain.
Up next: @ #10 Oklahoma and home for UCF
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
4.

Jonathon Baldwin--WR, Pitt
I know Pitt and Coach Doc are 1-3 early in the season, but really you can't blame this WR. Baldwin exploded onto my list in weeks 3 and 4 with crazy numbers as he pulled in 7 catches for 265 yards and 4 touchdowns. Although Pitt went 0-2 for the block i like this guys up side. If Pitt can somehow find a way to win at Louisville, Uconn and Jon puts up big numbers again watch for him to slide up my list.
Up next: @ Louisville and home for UConn
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
5.

Chris Hawkins--DB, LSU
Defensive players will come and go from my list this season as you will see..Its just too difficult for them to put up consistant numbers in the NDL. Chad Hawkins from LSU might be an exception to my statement as he already has 5 interceptions, 5 pass deflections, 3 touchdowns, 1 forced fumble and 1 fumble recovery! Plus it don't hurt that he plays for the #1 team in the league and continously gets pitted against the opps. #1 wide-out. Hawkins might be coming off the best 2 weeks in the history of the NDL for a defensive back. Hawkins recorded 5 tackles, 3 interceptions, 3 pass break-ups, 1 fumble recovery and 2 touchdowns as LSU went 2-0. Hawkins will have a chance got continue his Heisman push as he will face off with A.J. Green in the upcoming week.
Up next: @ Georgia and home for Florida
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
6.

Kirk Cousins--QB, Michigan St.
If you dont know Kick Cousins from MSU let me lead the introduction. Cousins is tearing up the NDL early in the season and looks to continue. Kirk has hit on 83% of his passes while throwing for 1,438 yards and 15 touchdowns. State is 3-1 right now, but Cousins 253.4 passer rating shows he is still the best in the NDL. Last block Cousins went 40-52 for 564 yards and 3 scores, his 2 interceptions may have cost MSU a perfect 4-0 start but this kid should bounce back in the upcoming weeks. MSU has 2 huge conference games upcoming, wins and Cousins should remain on my list...but 2 loses and he could be on the what if list.
Up next: home for Michigan and @ Illinois
ONLY IF THEY PLAYED FOR A BETTER TEAM!
1. Duke Calhoun--WR, Memphis
The Duke of Memphis has put up numbers that can match-up with any wide-out in the NDL..He leads the league with 30 catches, 2nd with 509 yards, and has 3 touchdowns. If Memphis can get to .500 he could sneak on my list, but at 1-3 they have a long way to go.
2. Tyler Wolfe--QB, Louisville
Wolfe has connected on 70 of 106 passes with 7 touchdowns and just 3 picks...Wolfe also has kept his wide-outs happy by hitting 11 different guys. The Cards are 2-2, but I dont see them getting any better, so Wolfe has a slim shot of making my list.
3. Daniel Raudabaugh--QB, Miami (oh)
Daniel has lead his team to a 2-1 start with a win over Michigan and Coach Hart. Ruadabaugh has connected on about 75% of his passes for 1,119 yards and 10 touchdowns. Miami is 2-1 right now, but for a Mid-Major QB to get any consideration for the Heisman it takes a near perfect season.
4. Reggie Arnold--RB--Arkansas St.
Arnold is a big fish in a little pound down at ASU....his 8 touchdowns lead the NDL and his YAC are at 95 showing he hard to bring down. ASU is also setting at 2-1, but a Heisman winner coming from the sun-belt is unheard of. This kid could will be a finalist for NDL awards, just not the Heisman.
TOO MUCH HEISMAN HYPE AND THEY FOLDED.
1. Aaron Corp--QB, USC
Corp fill of my list this week and may not find his way back on. The QB has as many interceptions at 9 as he does touchdowns. Was it the Heisman jinx or the curse of being #1? I guess we will found out now as all the pressure is gone.
2. Terrelle Pryor--QB, Ohio State
Pryor was living the dream in Columbus, OH. He was a Heisman front-runner, OSU was #4 in the Nation and all was looking Rosie. 2 weeks later Coach Ice is 2-2 Pryor has thrown 7 interceptions and may need a benching at this point. The schedule don't get any easier, but Pryor has to now answer his critics!
3. Noel Devine--RB, WVU
Going into season 18 Devine was actually my Heisman favorite, well 4 weeks later and the best place to find Noel might be in the lost and found. West Virginia has gotten off to a terrible start at 1-2, but Devine's start is even worse. Noel's 146 yards on 38 carries is just not what you expect, plus he has fumbled as many times as he has visited the end-zone for coach Seeit this year. Conference play has now begun and Noel has to lead this team.
4. Eric Berry--DB, Tennessee
Eric Berry was my sure fire can't miss defensive player that was going to stand up and be a Heisman front runner. Well so far this year Berry has 20 tackles and 3 pass deflections and.... .....
and thats it! Don't know if teams are staying away from #14 or he is just having a down year. One thing is for sure, these numbers are unexceptable for the NDL's best defensive player.

Ware Watch – After Block 2 by sammy33
Four weeks in and we have seen impressive numbers put up on both sides of the ball all over the NDL. As we get closer to the first list, the players are still jockeying for position and recognition. With some teams already done with a third of their season, there are plenty of people to be recognized. With that said, let us take a look at who is filling up the sheet after Block 2.
**Most of the players on this list will have played four games, but things will even out as things go on. As teams catch up, those that have put up the numbers will be noticed.**
Offensive Studs

Dude is on pace for throwing for 4,000 yards! Hard to notice the numbers Tyler has put up thus far. He already has thrown for over 400 twice and threw for 615 in his last outing! Settling in for conference play, look for the numbers to be there. Central Florida and UTEP will get their shot at trying to slow down the #1 passing attack in the nation.

Even off two consecutive losses, Dan continues to put up big numbers. He has topped 300 twice this season (one being 400) and does a great job of getting everyone involved. Upcoming games are against Eastern Michigan (screams shootout!) and Western Michigan. Which Michigan team will rule the MAC? This guy will have something to say about it.

Through four games, Harvey has gotten stronger as the season has progressed. In his last three games, he has rushed for at least 125 yards. Included his a game where he busted loose for 206! The big thing for him is that he has gotten great blocking from his big guys while showing excellent vision, shown by his low RAC yards. Up next will be road games against UNLV and San Diego State.

Starting the campaign in the last block, Bell picked up just as he left off last season: finding the end zone. He rushed for 100 yards in both games, while also scoring in both. Upcoming games will pit him against UTEP and Florida Atlantic. Most already know that Bell is going to have a big season.

Brandon also joins the club, after having the opening block off. Fragger found the end zone three times while helping his team to a 2-0 start. He had a big year last season, so there is no reason to expect otherwise. With upcoming games with UNLV and Louisiana Tech, look for the numbers to be there.

Though he did not get a TD in the previous block, he still has been able to find the ball to move the chains. He is near the top in receptions and does a great job of getting just enough separation to reel in his catches. With upcoming games with Temple and Central Michigan, he will continue to pick up yards.

Not a surprise to see him on the list with his quarterback flinging the ball all over the place. He continues to find the ball, regardless of how well his fellow receivers/tight ends are doing. In all but one of his games, he has put up at least 100 yards. Conference games against UTEP and UCF will put the pressure on opposing secondaries.
Other Offensive Notables:

Defensive Studs

While he may not have as many tackles as some of his competitors, he has made quite the impact as a league leader in the INT department. He picked off Andrew Luck twice to help his team squeak by Stanford. He also added one against Wyoming. With BYU and Nevada on the horizon, he may not have as many shots to make a splash. He tracks the ball well when he is given the chance.

While Fraser stands out with more tackles, these guys have combined to do a bunch of work for their defense. They have had to clean up a lot of plays downfield, but have also had their fair share of blowing things up in the backfield. They will have upcoming games with Buffalo and Eastern Michigan. They are tackling machines that will continue to add to their totals. Who will proof to be more valuable at the end of the year?

Matt has consistently played on the other side of the line his three games thus far. He has scored a sack in every game thus far while also helping to slow the run. Upcoming games with Air Force and ULM will give him the chance to continue to put pressure on the quarterback.

Talk about consistency. Reuben has put up the same stats in three consecutive games. He has shown a nose for the ball and has an excellent base when it comes to making a tackle. Upcoming games with BYU and New Mexico State will allow him to add to the tackle number.

While he hasn’t quite reached what he did in his game against Troy, he has proven to be consistently involved in the game every week. He has snuffed out quite a few runs in the backfield to force the third and longs that a defense will salivate over. A tough matchup against the Hurricanes along with a matchup against Memphis will definitely present the chance to boost his stats.

With NDL Season 18 in full swing, the race to win the Interception Challenge has finally started to pick up steam. Over the last few games, the field has managed to narrow itself down to 4 qualifying players. There still could be a darkhorse that comes from behind the pack, but right now, we’re going to focus on the 4 men that are leading the charge.
JAKE LOCKER - WASHINGTON
SO FAR:
Locker has lead the Huskies to a 2-1 start, with their sole loss coming at the hands of the #1 USC Trojans. He has nearly 35% more attempts than anyone else on the list. Though 42, over 3 games, isn’t an incredible amount. Locker is the 1st in the trend of QBs that limits their mistakes by limiting their attempts.
LOOKING AHEAD:
Jake has a 2 interesting matchups on tap, with adventures against recently hired Coach theniddler and his Idaho squad and the always dangerous Arizona Wildcats. Coach Buckeye will be sure to lean on 2 major impact players in his secondary and try to force Locker and his Huskies right out of the Interception Challenge!
CASE KEENUM – HOUSTON
SO FAR:
It’s been a typical start to a typical Houston season. 3 games with large talent advantages, 3 blowouts and a ton of rushing by RB Bryce Beal. This setup obviously favors Case in the long run and the Vegas Odds have him at nearly 2 to 1 to win the Challenge.
LOOKING AHEAD:
2 more games, 2 more large talent advantages. If Case and Company play under control, he could easily emerge as the leader next week. Look for these to opponents to at least pose a threat, as both Coaches have proven to be able to pull off the big win.
KEVIN CRAFT - UCLA
SO FAR:
Rumor has it that Mr. Craft may have left this challenge as of the writing of this column. Apparently things didn’t go so well in the Bruins matchup against the Mighty Oregon Ducks. We’ll know more next week!
LOOKING AHEAD:
If the rumors are not true, then Kevin should have a good shot to return next week. As the Stanford Cardinal D hasn’t been nearly as intimidating as the rest of the Bruins previous opponents.
MORGAN NEWTON – KENTUCKY
SO FAR:
The season is still young for Newton, as the Wildcats have only participated in 1 game. With his stellar 4 TD win over rival Louisville, there could be good things to come….
LOOKING AHEAD:
….but …. It was just 1 game. And even though the heated rivalry with Louisville is a tough battle, that doesn’t touch the intensity of the games they have in the coming days. Nationally ranked Alabama, Florida and South Carolina all lay waiting in the grass. I think this is one Cat that’s about to get skinned!
Season 16- Tim Tebow (Florida)- Big Mike
Season 17- Todd Reesing (Kansas)- BigStimpin
Season 18- ???

8. Fresno State- Outlaw was in the NDL championship 2 season ago with Cal and he is proving why he is the west coast's best NDL'er with these bulldogs.
7. BYU- Huskerskev84 is undefeated with the Cougars and looking to keep TCU from ever getting his MWC crown back. The MWC is going to be a battle this season it seems.
6. Nebraska- Sammy is Mr. Consistency with the Huskers, which pisses off no less than 10 NDL'ers who also want to use them. He is quietly beating his opponents and staying in the top 10.
5. South Florida- He played 8 games in the final week last season but mcx won the Big East with the Bulls. He is playing all season long this year with them and is looking to go back to back BCS bowls.
4. Alabama- Biffy doing what Biffy does. Win just enough to never have to leave Bama. He now has to deal with Shel though in the SEC.
3. Illinois- A trendy pick for Championship hopes. Everyone is looking at his schedule and saying he can do it, but will the voters give him the love?
2. Iowa- It's a shame VT doesn't get to play Illinois this year, but his schedule is beefed up enough that it won't matter. He runs the table, he will play for the championship.
1. LSU- Who else? Shel is becoming the next top dog of the NDL, he now has his team, what could go wrong?

Major changes inthe Bottom 10 with Only Rice and Wyoming holding down a spot for a second week. Everyone here is winless but have taken some varied routes to get to where they are. Are am going on a prediction that LSU is due for a loss. Shel never makes it out of the regular season without a scratch. He really only has two games he is likely to lose in Alabama and Georgia. After that, he plays 5 teams with a combined 4-15 record. This weeks Bottom 10 is brought to you by Taylor Swift.
10. Rice (0-2)- Two is Better than One: This may be a time when two isn't better than one. Yrag would rather only have 1 loss, but he is trying to best to accumulate loss number 3, he is succeeding... by not playing.
9. Western Michigan (0-3)- Pictures to Burn: Heat is burning half is playbook by flat out not running the ball and not stopping the pass. So far it hasn't worked out well as he is winless
8. North Texas (0-3) - White Horse: Tball needs a knight in shining armor to come on a white horse to help him save his season. He has already lost to Eastern Michigan and Middle Tennessee State. With losses like that, he may be staring 0-12 in the face. Oh and he's been blown out in 2 of his 3 games.
7. ECU (0-3)- Fearless: Feisty was fearless in scheduling some tough BCS opponents, but so far he still hasn't won a game. Luckily conference play is coming up and he can hopefully still reach a bowl.
6. Wyoming (0-3)- Teardrops on My Guitar: This cowboy duck (an absolutely rediculous concept) must be crying after the start he has had. He is losing by an average of 3 scores a game.
5. LSU (5-0)- Untouchable: Shel has been Untouchable this season. No one has really threatened the new top dog of the NDL. Can he keep it going for an entire season and finish undefeated? Maybe even pull the double and win the Cup as well? History says no.
4. Louisiana Tech (0-4)-Breathe: Ok what the hell is going on cnotes? This was a bowl team last year who picked up major upsets. This year, he is losing by a double digit average every game. Cnotes is the NDL's gambling nightmare and just needs to relax, take a deep breath and move on.
3. Wake Forest (0-2)- Should've Said No: Losing to Penn State? expected, Texas A&M? not a surprise, SMU? That one hurts. Wake should've said no to some of those tougher non-conference schedules with the ACC teams he has to play in conference play. Bernie may be in for a long season.
2. Utah State (0-4)- Love Story: We all thought Block M back in the NDL was a great love story of man and league. But he has been unable to rekindle that past glory he had in seasons before. Will this Juliet survive this eason to find her Romeo of a team?
1. Northern Illinois (0-3)- Fifteen: Buck is having a tough time in the NDL, and can only wish he would be fifteen again... not in age, but points in a game. He averages just 11 points a game this season.

Ok, I understand that for the most part, customer service blows for cell phones, internet, all plumbing, fast food workers who don't speak spanish, and shopping on all major holidays. We seem to just have accepted this fact and moved on with our lives. The usual way of getting them to actually get off there asses and do something is pull the "fix it or I'm killing my service" line. Now this doesn't work for cell phones since they have us all by the balls with contracts but for most other services it works. The other place it doesn't work is anywhere their is a monopoly. While I went on my saga to fix my internet (which went down b/c of a coconut tree), I pulled the "I'm a paying customer, fix it or I'm switching services) and the guy pulled this one on me... "go ahead, we are the only service". Check-mate. By the balls.

Went on a hike in the rainforest to the tidepools on Thursday. Cliff jumping into crystal clear water with waves crashing over the rocks and into the tide pool. All that plus working internet again means no Island Fever for now.
