I disagree with adding multiplayer. Some games just deserve to be single player only, and this is one of them.

That said, this is a day one purchase for me as I absolutely LOVED the first one.

I am ashamed that I have yet to play Bioshock despite its roots being based on virtually every RPG I loved whilst growing up

Some parts are extremely creepy...great game though. Not sure how they intend to improve on the first game's story but I'll certainly be checking it out.

Got to see the reviews first. I think they went with a different developer this time around which usually means the game will be shit. First one was amazing though. Last 360 game I bought.

Im trying to figure this out as well. How was it better for the XBOX? A different story? Better gameplay?

9.1 rating on IGN as of now.

Co-sign.

In fact, I thought I read that the graphics and sound were actually better on PS3 once it came out there.

You can buy the original for maybe $20 tops, brand new, from Best Buy.

It is a bit of a creepy game, but very good.

I couldnt get into the first one. I love single player games but didnt like it too much. Maybe I expected too much from the hype. And mike, I dont think they went to a new developer so you should be safe.

From what I read its the same developer but different office and like Mike said, usually means trouble.

But from the review I read on IGN, it actually improved some of the flaws that was in the previous one and has great reviews so far.

I rented the first and played for a while. I got stuck in some spot but didnt have enough time for the rental to get past.

If I finish Dante's fast enough, Ill give this a whirl.

The commercials for this game are frightening...So I will def pick it up prob a week after it comes out.

I am assuming it is an absolute must to play part one first?

I think you should play part one first. It is the introduction to Rapture and I'm sure leads into the second one.

The game is set in the fictional dystopian city Rapture in alternative history 1970, ten years after the events of BioShock. You play as someone that has been sort of out of consciousness for the last ten years so you aren't familiar with all the events of the first one, but BioShock 1 assuredly happens before BioShock 2 in terms of continuity.

You play as the original prototype Big Daddy that is slightly different than all the Big Daddy's you saw in the first one. But you were essentially deactive during the first one and have just reactivated 10 years after the events of the first one.
