Early Heisman Watch:
1. Aaron Corp – USC – QB – 32-48, 829, 7-4
Corp has started off on fire for the Trojans of Southern Cal. Albiet against mediocre talent, Corp is taking full advantage and padding his stats early. A lot of games to be played but he’s currently sitting at number one.
2. Brandon Minor – Mich – HB 42-314
Hart4IndyBench has finally found himself a playbook that utilizes Brandon Minor and it’s shown so far. In 2 games he has 314 rushing yards on pace for 1800! Let’s see if he can keep it up with the Big 10 coming up.
3. DeAnthony White – EMU – WR – 19-273-2
Apparently you throw it, he catches it. A motto I’m sure JonnyP can live with. In two games White has an astronomical 19 catches. If opposing coaches don’t zone in on him, he might remain on the list all year!
4. Sam Bradford – OU – QB – 32-48, 730, 6-4
Off to a slow start, Bradford is the number 2 quarterback on the list. His numbers are similar to Corps but his TD-INT ratio is worse. If his numbers improve Bradford will shoot up the charts
5. Everson Griffen – USC – DE 13 Tk, 9FL, 8 Sacks, 1FF
Our only defensive player and second Trojan, Everson Griffen has started off with record numbers. On pace for 40+ sacks, Griffen has 8 to his name after 2 games. Expect him to fizz out as well as his Heisman dreams.

Nick's Scoop
w. VeniVediV1ci
Hey, Welcome to the first edition of Nick's Scoop, where we talk to one of the NDL's owners and get their take on random things I will ask from week to week. Our first guest is the owner of the Clemson Tigers, VeniVediVini
Nick: Once again thank you for doing this interview
VVV: Thank you for having me.
Nick: I’ll start with a few personal questions than we’ll get into discussion. Some background info about yourself that the readers would like to know. Name? Age? How you found out about the NDL?
VVV: My name's Griffin, I'm 21 years old and I found the NDL searching leagues on LeagueDaddy when I finally realized that Madden online wouldn't work for me in the dorms at UT. Got in after one season in the farm getting stomped with Hawaii.
Nick: How long have you been at Clemson?
VVV: On and off for 5 seasons. This is my 3rd consecutive go in South Cackilac.
Nick: Brutal depiction of southern life. Anyways, what made you decide to choose Clemson in the first place? Orange influence?
VVV: I knew they fit my playing style of run-run-run back in Season XII. James "Thunder" Davis and C.J. "Lightning" Spiller were a great combo that ended up winning me a title so I can't complain. Miss the Thunder now as the Lightning gets banged up a lot, but I had to stay for a final season with C.J. after all he's done for me and my family.
Nick: You did win a title that's correct. A slump since then though. Who’s your number 1 rival in the NDL and why?
VVV: I'd have to go with the Toronto Toker, Nick Wadden. He seems to have my number lately after I got bored with constantly dominating him. It's a great rivalry filled with a lot of smack talk on AIM and on the boards so it's all in good fun. I'm embarrassed to be tied at 4, but I think next season will be my year.
Nick: Always a tough matchup. What are your plans for after this season with Spiller moving on? Staying? Leaving? Any ideas where yet?
VVV: I can't comment on that specifically, but I will hint that the wife has been scanning the nation for good school districts for the little VVV's...
Nick: keeping it hush hush. I like that. I'll call this portion of the interview... RAPID FIRE !!! *wizzo wizzo wizzo*, for those reading this, that was suppose to be an ambulance with red lights flickering. Basically what I am going to do is give you an option, and you simply pick. No thinking, just pick! you got it?
VVV: Got it.
Nick: Blondes or brunettes?
VVV: Oddly enough brunettes
Nick: Short or Tall Girls?
VVV: I'm not very tall so I'll take short girls.
Nick: In more places than one. ZING. Oklahoma or Texas A&M?
VVV: Ha hilarious. Um I'll take death? I guess OU (yuck)
Nick: Weed or Beer?
VVV: Beer because I become completely useless when I smoke
Nick: Megan Fox or Carrie Underwood?
VVV: Underwood. I've started to like country ever since I went down south
Nick: And finally, NDL: ESPN or NDL: SI?
VVV: NDL: SI for sure
Nick: and thats why we love you on the show. Thanks again VVV and as a treat, i'll give you your 15-45 seconds (depending how fast they can read) to say whatever you want to the NDL Universe.
VVV: I really have enjoyed my time in the league to this point, and I hope it continues. Texas Fight!
Nick: Thanks again VVV for being on the show and good luck the rest of the season at Clemson.
Conclusion:
In conclusion, I would like to thank everyone who has read to this point. This week won't blow you away in the stats department but as long as the league keeps playing games, I will continue to write reports. Thanks for your time.
