If crossing is so good I'll definitely be making my 6'10" guy a striker.

@ Toro - FIFA does penalize for hgt/wgt, but it's not as harsh in the mid-range (5'8-6'2; 181-212 I think) as it used to be. The outliers are still hit pretty hard. 6'10 is incredibly slow. 242 I believe is the max wgt. There are some advantages to being 6'10, such as area of reach when defending in front of someone, or headers. It's definitely worth looking at hgt/wgt and seeing how they interact and change the baseline ratings. The position that you choose has an effect on position specific abilities. A striker, for instance, won't have a high tackle rating. Also, for each position, there are different templates of player. For instance, a midfielder may opt to be a 'ball winner' which has higher tackle ratings and better heading ratings, or they may choose to be a 'playmaker' which sacrifices those ratings to have better passing ratings. I recommend trying a variety of different setups to see what fits you best.

I'm thinking 4-3-1-2 on the formation. Your little guy and my giant up front. We're a team!

Mike, can you switch our default formation to 41212 or 4222? The 4231 isn't going to work w this many strikers.

I think I'm gonna be LM after playing last night w Reign. Dave's been playing CAM so he'd sit perfectly behind AJ/Peay/Mike; and if need be I can drop back to CDM and someone else can slide into LM. If we get ripped up w the long balls, then I'll move back to RB.

With my guy's size I can fill in at CB when we're full of strikers.

Just keep in mind though that your guy will have like 20-30 tackling/marking ratings

I don't think you'd have to drop back. With a user CAM and ST, we can push up long enough to deliver then start fading back to give some room. We had a game last night where we went LM/RM and if we didn't have an absolute putz playing ST, we likely would have scored 5. Nothing like a ST that wants to call for the ball with 3 guys surrounding him.

Funny... but Jason and I both got a chuckle because the guy was using the name "Dragon."

I was saying I'd drop back to CDM if we had 5-6 guys and someone wanted the LM spot, not that I'd rotate there.

I heard it and was trying to figure out when Ted snuck on

You notice after I chewed him out and told him to stfu, he started working the ball better and stopped calling for it. :D

He was giving lame excuses... once or twice, I'll buy it... consistently, no.

Has anyone played the release version? I'm seeing posts on the FIFA forum that it's playing more like 13 (pace abuse).
