The worst are the long putts that look like theyre essentially straight in, if you dont aim to an edge itll miss, but if you do adjust the aim its always too much. I couldnt tell you how many of those Ive missedautiger730 wrote: The way these greens are I should have been -16.

Whats in my head is when I have a smaller, normal sized putter I do worse.DRiccio21 wrote:it seems like the better my putter is, the worse i putt.
i'm compensating more than i need to and the ball isn't breaking like it did when i had a shitty putter. probably just in my head.
When I have those huge, monstrous weird shaped ones I do better. Screw ratings as I am sticking with those crazy ones.
I tend to over read the speed of the bead break and leave it on the lip or about 6 inches right outside when I miss a ton.

I haven't messed with the equipment yet. How does that work? Do you have to buy equipment, or based on your level is there certain equipment you can access?
And if you have 10 drivers to pick from, does it tell you the pros/cons of each?

As you level up, it unlocks certain equipment.
You can sort by "unlocked" and see whats out there. You will see changes that occur as you scroll through the equipment as a green shows an increase from what you are equipped with and a red from ones that have decreases in ratings.
Some make you decide between giving up power for more accuracy and spin and vice versa.

I'll mess with that next time I hop on.

Exactly. I was so frustrated by the time I got through the front, I am surprised I didn't totally blow up and shoot +10.Weasel wrote:The worst are the long putts that look like theyre essentially straight in, if you dont aim to an edge itll miss, but if you do adjust the aim its always too much. I'm dropping a -20 in each of the next two rounds though, so I'll be fine.

Re: Season 1, Tourney 8: The NDL US Open
My main complaint with the four round tourneys is cosmetic, but it still bothers me. I wish you could only see scores from rounds which youve played, then the last two rounds update the scores available to view based on standings (leaders being last and can see how those before them finished). Really not a huge deal, but I find myself playing better when I see another score up there and I have something to try and beat. Probably doesnt make a difference for me anyway since Ive been finishing these by Monday afternoon

Tinkered with something round one, +3
Went back to original plan with an adjustment, - 3
Lesson learned, don't tinker in a round on a major

I think it's 15 or 16 where the pin is located on the right of the green the first two rounds, and the green drops into like a little trench in the middle?
I missed a three footer there for bogey BOTH rounds. Then the following hole in rd 2, I hit a 42 foot putt for birdie. Go figure
I've chipped in like 4 times in this tournament so far through two rounds. Had a great first round but the 2nd might cost me.

S14: N Texas 7-1
S15: Wake 8-5
S16-21: Washington 9-4, 10-3, 8-5, 9-4, 7-6, 6-7
S22: Ohio 8-5
S23: ECU 12-2
S24-26: Kentucky 8-5, 5-7, 5-7
Career: 102-61

Dave shot +7 in round 4, he's definitely not in the "clutch" house.
And no chance I shoot -6 in the final 2 rounds, victory is yours.

Trying to mess around a little with the clubs and way my guy is built. By round 4 I think I found a set up I like as opposed to round 1.
No matter what I do I don't think I'll ever shoot - 13 at a major like downing. He's our tiger circa 2000s

I'm at 57, so I'm thinking most guys should be 80+ or something if they've hopped on in the past couple of days and used the 25K points.

Weird. I was able to go from 5 to like 45 or something with the points.
