I just got some pretty awesome news. On November 11 my oldest son will be playing a game in his third grade basketball league at the Hoosier Gym. Yes, the actual Hickory High gym from the movie. I'm sure I'm more excited about it than he is. If you don't think I'm going to make him turn around and yell "Hickory!" as we walk out of the gym you've lost your mind. I'm also going to tell him at least 83 times between now and then "don't get caught watching the paint dry".

Hell I might even show up hammered and stumble out on the court after the first bad call like Shooter.

I played vs Trumbell in, shit I want to say 1988, with the Eastchester Blue Devils in a bowl game. We stomped them to death; starters were out of the game by the end of the half. That said, good to see Pop Warner still going strong in the tri-state.

What's the weight limit on Senior Mitey Mites (they only had mitey mites when I played). I was too big for it so I played Jr. Pee Wee at seven.
