Nintendo Switch
Weird little console by Nintendo and a terrible name as they didn't learn from the Wii U it seems.
I can see it doing very well though in the younger demographics and hardcore Nintendo portable fan bases.

That guy needs to put the game thingy down and enjoy life a little bit!
And that concludes the oldest old man post ever.

Re: Nintendo Switch
I posted this when my son was 4 with no Switch.Cnasty wrote: I can see it doing very well though in the younger demographics and hardcore Nintendo portable fan bases.
He is now turning 6 and we play this thing daily. It is one of the best consoles ever created. The portability is fantastic, the game lineup is addicting, and they are releasing some new gems every couple months.
Also, in the Fall they will be adding a Nintendo vault if you will of limited release of all the old Nintendo classics.
I cannot put down Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze. Its infuriating, hard as well, and just insane fun.
They just announced at E3 Super Smash Brother, Mario Party, and some other awesome titles.
Bravo Nintendo!!!

Re: Nintendo Switch
I have the Switch but can't really justify paying $60 for all these games for 6 year olds, so we only have a couple of games.

Grandma is responsible for 4 of the 6 games we have.shel311 wrote:I have the Switch but can't really justify paying $60 for all these games for 6 year olds, so we only have a couple of games.
The other 2, used at GameStop with their club thing and they come out under $40 which isnt bad.
Cant wait for the PS+ like Nintendo program and the classics.
Re: Nintendo Switch
Was able to nab one of the Switch and Mario Kart bundles for 299 and then added Donkey Kong as well. Mario Odyssey and Zelda are reportedly must buys, but not sure they're my cup of tea

Re: Nintendo Switch
Pick up the online package and play a lot of the awesome NES games.
Zelda is not my jam but a solid game. Mario Odyssey is a must buy if you like the series. Very good.
Donkey Kong is easily my favorite though. Hard as hell and frustrating but fun.

Re: Nintendo Switch
It’s even harder playing co-op but man it is addicting because it’s so hard and you just can’t quit it.
Our current love is Mario Party. Great game for co-op as well.
The Switch is a HR in our house. I haven’t even unboxed our PS4 Pro or XB1X after the move.

Briefly reading online, collecting the KONG letters is worthwhile while the puzzle pieces aren't? Any tips for jumping higher, we fell like we're missing something thereCnasty wrote:It’s even harder playing co-op but man it is addicting because it’s so hard and you just can’t quit it.

Played Mario Party a handful of times as well, just did random on mini games as we didn't know what we were supposed to play mode wise

Re: Nintendo Switch
Play the board game mode, it’s fun.
Correct, the puzzle pieces will unlock art and other pre development items. Letters unlock the hardest world in the game and worth it for sure. Damn near impossible.
Know where to use certain characters versus just donkey Kong. Some are made specifically for the character and you will feel who needs to be used in each stage. Kind of trial and error. Jumping higher isn’t a thing really besides momentum off the roll move and leveraging the items to jump on the stage.
Enjoy

Labo prices may be around where you want to take a look before stock sells out.
