Re: NDL for NCAA 11 and Beyond
Holmey - One thing I would suggest as we are attempting a big push for new coaches is to have an "apply now" banner somewhere on that home page. Something similar to a college home page that will grab them and make them want to click it to fill out an application. But, I would at least suggest a link to the application on the home page. If it is there - I couldn't find it.

Re: NDL for NCAA 11 and Beyond
In a way, you were not suppose to see a "Application" page because you were logged in, therefore already a member. For anyone coming to the site, and not logged in, they will have a different navigation menu than those that are logged in.
For Example: Logged in User see
For Example: Logged in User see
Other users see this:FORMS | SCHEDULING | NDL MEDIA | FORUM | HISTORY | LADDER
I will check with ANK and see if he sees a drop-off in applications, and if so will change it to try to help get more people in. Good Idea thoughFARM FORUM | APPLICATION | NDL MEDIA | HISTORY | LEAGUEDADDY
Re: NDL for NCAA 11 and Beyond
Makes sense. I didn't realize there were two different sets of links. Thanks.

Re: NDL for NCAA 11 and Beyond
I did remove everyone from the team that they had from last season except a few that helped do some testing, so do not be worried if anyone can not see the Forms or Scheduling pages yet, those will become active once you get a team assigned.

Re: NDL for NCAA 11 and Beyond
I tried to make all the new features part of the "Walkthrough" article on there, so that anyone can read about some of the other changes that will show up as the season goes.
Hopefully the new poll voting setup will be a hit, as I used it as a test run over the last season, and it worked pretty well.
Hopefully the new poll voting setup will be a hit, as I used it as a test run over the last season, and it worked pretty well.
Poll Voting:
Poll Voting now will be done in one of two ways, Drag-And-Drop or Drop-Down Menu. Some browsers may not allow for the Drag-And-Drop method, and if this is the case you will need to use the Traditional Drop Down. The New Drag-And-Drop will automatically bring in the results from the previous poll when first loading, so that you can simply slide teams up and down the poll when you vote. Teams with votes will appear at the top of the list (in order of points) and then the teams with no votes will be listed alphabetically. More good news for those that use the Drag-And-Drop method, you can slide teams as you wish and even if you close the browser window, the results will remain until you hit submit. The biggest thing to remember is that you must hit the SUBMIT button for the results to count. If you do not hit the SUBMIT button, it will not count and you will not get your participation points for that weeks voting. The Voting Aid listed on the left side of the voting area now expands and contracts to try to help minimize scrolling while doing your Top 25. The list defaults as open, but a double click on the team name will contract the team results so that you may move on to the next team. The Voting Aid is updated weekly by the designated person for that season. To view the current Top-25, you can click on the POLL RESULTS link at the top. Coaches and Media Top 25 are available, both showing where first place votes went as well as all others that received votes.
