Re: formations vs plays

Look, from my experience and what my CR's have told me. Running conservative offense is not acceptable and I have to open up my playbook more...even though I run several different formations. If you run shot gun spread and option out of it, isnt that the same thing? Or if my defensive play style is ...

Re: formations vs plays

I will never understand why people have a problem with the spread option. (when run correctly) It's a scheme, just like the power running system at Stanford is a scheme. Or the air raid system at West Virginia is a scheme. If staying true to yourself, and running YOUR system all game long is a prob...

A major part of why I really suck at the option lol.

Re: formations vs plays

I mean spread formation option and taking the ball outside the tackle each time. Just trying to say that I like the plays, just not when its every play.

Re: formations vs plays

see not to stray off topic but I never understood why people complained about spread option guys running a lot of option. People don't really complain about a team who is running with gt, or one of the academy's for option, or an air raid team throwing the ball a ton and running about 10 times. So ...

Re: Hauppauge or Elgato?

I work in technology sales for schools. Been selling them to a few school districts and a couple colleges. Also, have several friends that record BF3 and COD footage and put them on youtube and they ALL use the elgato now.

Re: Hauppauge or Elgato?

I know quite a few people using the elgato on both the ps3 and xbox and they really like it. Very simple to use. Seems to work really well with any game. I don't know much about the Hauppauge other than I haven't had anyone ask for one...they have been asking for the elgato.

Re: Season 25 Final BCS and Polls

I think we got it exactly right, we have multiple teams with a legit claim to the #2 spot and Oklahoma State gets the nod party because of the recognition, limited though it may be, of when their loss took place. I think "WE" as a group got it right also, but the Massey ratings are not &q...

Re: Season 25 Final BCS and Polls

Interesting that 51 2nd place votes for Florida, 22 for Michigan State and 9 for Oklahoma State and Oklahoma State gets the nod. I would say the polls didnt really matter in this instance. The Massey and how it rated SoS for Florida and MSU due to teams in the conference that had a majority of their...

Re: stat of the day

I would say nearly all my INTs came against man. Probably 80% or more. That said, I felt like I was looking at man at least 65-75% of the time in games. To me that's not really surprising. What, we were half way through the season before the defensive AI update came out? Even after that I think zon...

Re: Who's #2?

Im looking at Wisconsin's record vs. LSU's record. Wisky had 1 win over a ranked team (ohio st) and 3 total losses, LSU had 2 wins over ranked teams (Ohio St. and Alabama) and two total losses. The SoS is skewed because of Ole Miss having so many simmed games. So I don't really see how you can say t...

Re: Who's #2?

I Get where youre coming from dawgit but i also think personally the SEC was pretty weak this year. That didn't help either. In the end the late loss factored in alot for me. Interesting since Oklahoma St lost to an 8-4 SEC team. The only other matchups between SEC and Big 12 was Oklahoma (9-3) ove...

Re: Who's #2?

Im confused how losing late vs losing early makes a difference in how a team is ranked...can someone explain that to me? Especially in a league where games aren't even truly played in their respective block half the time.

Re: FINAL POLLS OPEN: Close tuesday at noon

I see what you are saying. I just meant it doesn't take into consideration who you coach against. For instance. Daw beat Shel 2 times...and if he hadn't, shel would be playing in the national title game against VT...but that is lost in the SoS this shows for Florida, based on UCF and Georgia not pla...

Re: FINAL POLLS OPEN: Close tuesday at noon

Wow, Tulsa 10-3, Arky St 11-1, San Diego St 11-1 and San Jose St 11-1 all out of the top 25 of Massey? Thats a shame. Great coaches, great seasons, but that SoS does nothing for them...not that I would want to play them :) Its a shame that SoS is all based on the team letter grade and not the...

Re: Who's #2?

I guess I was just looking at who their losses were against. And while both were losses to ranked teams, FSU had a better season than Notre Dame in my opinion. FSU had a loss to Marshall (who was 9-3) and then two losses to VT...Notre Dame lost to BC (3-9), North Carolina (8-4) and Stanford (9-3). A...

Re: Wasted's Bowl Predictions

Interesting, because I thought the Chik-fil-a bowl was always the ACC #2 and Orange Bowl was either ACC #1 or, if the ACC #1 was playing for the national Championship, the Orange Bowl would take the next best BCS worthy team. This is why there should be a playoff series
