Re: Season Showdown
I know the university of Nebraska is excited to be getting ur points for losing every game!
Re: Season Showdown
I am playing with Buffalo. I figure I'll never be fucking getting Nebraska in the NDL, so I'll be playing a majority of my games with the Bulls.bearass wrote:I know the university of Nebraska is excited to be getting ur points for losing every game!

Re: Season Showdown
At the rate you're going, you might even lose Buffalo, if that's even possible.

Re: Season Showdown
Now that the season has started you can play your teams real life schedule either against the cpu or another human that has the other team as the favorite team.

Re: Season Showdown
Maybe we could start a scheduling thread for guys to play these games against each other on the side?outlaw wrote:Now that the season has started you can play your teams real life schedule either against the cpu or another human that has the other team as the favorite team.
Granted not all 119 teams will be represented but I'm sure there will be some fun games to play this season when your favorite school matches up against your buddies.
Week 1 - Virginia Tech @ Alabama for example.
Any hardcore Bama fans out there that want to dance with my Hokies? I know Biffy bleeds dat Crimson nonsense

Re: Season Showdown
Now that I have really digested this Season Showdown shit, let me give my letter grades to it.
Concept: A+
Practicality: B
Execution: D+
The sportsmanship bonuses/penalties are over-the-top ion some instances (you simply cannot throw the ball at all if you are winning big, a situation I am luckily rarely in) and weak in others.
But the biggest fuck up is this: they didn't go with averages or weighted scores. There will never be a big upset, ever. They should have weighted the scores and/or used an average based on the number of registered users.
Secondly, there is no incentive to win your own conference.

Re: Season Showdown
You don't have to have either team as your favorite team. You just play the games as scheduled. Your favorite team will still get the points for your win or loss though.outlaw wrote:Now that the season has started you can play your teams real life schedule either against the cpu or another human that has the other team as the favorite team.
