Anyone else listening?

Victor Martinez to Boston for Masterson, and 2 minor leaguers.

Orlando Cabrera to Minnesota for Prospects

Jarrod Washburn to Detroit for prospects

I feel one more big trade will happen before the deadline

Ugh.

The Braves could use some offense.

And we take on Adam LaRoche. Again.

Way to go, Bravos.

4 players. Biggest name is Poreda?

The Sox sent left-handed pitchers Aaron Poreda, Clayton Richard, and right-handers Dexter Carter and Adam Russell.

Richard is the stud I think in that trade?

Pumped about the Sox getting Martinez. I agree AJ, nice rotation through those positions.

Also gives some more pop that this lineup definitely needed.

I liked Masterson but not sure he will ever have a complete role. Could be a good starter down the road if he develops but I can take that loss for Martinez.

Richard is definitely the biggest name. Saying Poreda because he's the first guy named

the dude on mlb.com who just does prospects said

"poreda is the one with the most upside"

obviously you know more than he does.

what a piece of shit trade. I was so pissed when I saw that. We give up a guy who was making 4.5 mil less, still under contract after this year who is a potential Gold Glove(if it was actually given for fielding abilities instead of who is the biggest name), and is hitting .285 w/ 41 RBI's, as well as fairly clutch hitter.

For a guy who is hitting a career low .248 and has only 6 or 7 RBI's more, makes 7.5 mil is a FA after this season, and is such a retard he sometimes forgets to run to first base after fielding a ground ball.

Greeaat move Frank Wren. The Braves basically have traded Mark Texieria for this dopey faggot.

What was this Braves trade?

Who did the Sox get for Laroche?

Casey Kotchman.

Great fielder, solid doubles type of hitter. He is slow, but a solid player.

He has not made in error in a Braves uniform, basically a full season.

Ill take that coming off the bench or in late games for D.

Good trades by the Sox. Got some offense that is badly needed and didnt give up much in return.

We will see how it pans out.

We gave the Sox Casey Kotchman. Basically a top-notch defensive 1B you guys can bring in late for clutch hits and defense.

Meanwhile, we get back a turd who was just as big a turd when we had him a few years ago. All the Braves needed was another solid bat....our pitching has been outstanding and Escobar/Chipper/McLouth/McCann have given us a great jump since the break. Instead, we give up defense and clutch, for a guy who has a few more homers this season.

God I miss John Schuerholz....PLEASE come back!!!

Honestly, I think we need Ted to buy the team back. Schuerholz still has a good bit of say on moves I would imagine. As well, if Ted took over I believe he would want JS to have that say.

This corporate ownership stinks on ice, better than the Time Warner ownership, but still Ted wanted to win not have the team as a tax write off.

JS is a beast when it comes to buying low and selling high. He's even nastier at letting guys go in FA (often times incensing the fans) instead of dishing out dollars, because he knows they've gone past their prime (see Sheffield, Javy Lopez, Renteria).

I agree though....when AOL-TW took over, the slide began. I shudder to think what will happen to the team when, if we don't get some ownership changes, Chipper and Bobby Cox hang it up. The team will be in trouble, big time.

Kotchman's a good get, but i'm not a huge fan of moving LaRoche after we just got him. Hate trading Masterson too
