So what went into you picking the squad you picked?
Who got the best value at their draft slot?
Will Ice make it past one season with Oregon or get the heave ho??

Lets get some take on the draft and how it unfolded.

For me, UGA was sitting on the board at #11 and I had a list of 13 teams in front of me and UGA was not one of them. Partly because I thought they wouldnt be there but I should have known better with how these NDL drafts unfold.

So my thinking as the 2 minute warning approached was stick to your guns. Wisky was one of the very first teams I liked when playing. Great TE, solid WRs, and overall solid D.

Great conference of guys and I liked their goals and they became the pick rather than UGA who I never even scrimmed with once.

How did your pick unfold?

thought Kory Sheets was still at purdue. hes not. really shit. but itll be a fun year in a fun conf

I didn't even look at teams until today. I liked the Boise offense and thought it would be fun to play with them. Struggling a little with the left handed QB and have lost all 3 scrims. Lost to Mike cause he is a fucking dickhead. Lost at UGA to Ank and then lost to Nole at Louisville in a shootout.

Not too concerned yet but not liking the dropped INTs and constant mis-tackles early on. Not liking that Carl is in my conf as I have never beaten that bastard. Look forward to a home game to see if things change up a bit with this team.

Wow talk about getting completely overlooked. Just like we like it at UVA.

I chose UVA because I never thought a team this good would drop. I had not used them until I drafted them and their HB, is well, a friggin stud. Add in two impact CB's and they should be a fun team.

The teams I wanted believe it or not were B- teams and they all got swooped before I could get them. I wanted UCF but at the end I like playing in the big conferences and UCF got chosen right before me.

I wasn't suprised that b plus teams fell in the draft. That usually happens. I was surprised that North Carolina dropped to me. After quickly looking over their roster I liked what I saw so here I am ....A Tar Heel!


And like Packsy the b teams I had prepared for were all picked off early on.

Its gonna be a tough season. I fully expect to be drafting late next draft. Might as well start looking at teams.

I wanted Sjsu going into the draft and I got them. They are a D team that I played a lot with and I know them well.

The thing that seeled the deal was that I get Old schoola as my rival and Hoos in my conference.

I am excited for the ACC. Some great coaches that I have never played against and some vets I have not played in forever (VTrunngun, BigRy, RealDray, and Crowes). Im hoping to just make a bowl game.

Navy is my 2nd favorite team

Figured I had fun with them last season, so why not do it again

I was gonna join you guys but Northwestern got swooped up, I was not happy about that in the slightest.....one of Northwesterns DE's is one of the best in the game.

I had Auburn as my only choice of the draft. I wanted Minnesota, but they were kept so I said if Auburn fail to make it to me I was going to take Idaho and go from there. I am just happy to see that Florida is not on my regular season schedule. Now I just have to play some really tough teams to go from there.

Looking at my schedule, I don't see pulling out 10 wins. Day 2 of season 17 draft here I come.

to be honest i picked temple cause i panicked, i'm a broncos fan, and a complete unorthodox decision . i had my sights on getting vandy back at first. i dumped them cause i suck and those boys in the sec rolled me all the time. but i missed them and wanted them back. they were gone.

so. miss, baylor, iowa state, arkansas and sdsu were other teams i looked at but were gone. it's my turn and i remember ice predicting me to pick kent state. but their jerseys remind me of the san diego chargers and i loathe them. final thought, in my other league, me and this other guy created the owl bowl rivalry. he was rice, i was fiu. temple is the owls, so i picked them. let the beatings commence

Ok, how I decided on my team. I'm a geek and I started out with a spreadsheet of about 20 teams and I rated them all for various attributes, then gave each attribute a multiplier and then started trying out teams. When the draft order first came out I thought I was going to Oregon, but after my number crunching, they were in the top 5, but weren't number 1. So I looked deeper and played with every team in my top 5+ to see how they played. I liked Oregon as they have amazing DB's and have a great TE, stud QB, impact rb, high rated fb and decent WR's. So I narrowed down my list to two and choose from there and moved into Eugene ready to stay awhile.

BTW Corey, Wisconsin is a great spot to land a high draft pick next season, you picked well, even tough you are an ass!
