I don't know if any of you really follow it, but LSU's season starts tonight with the unveiling of the New Alex Box Stadium. On a side note, why would they open the season this weekend, there are more important things going on in Louisiana.

I think the Tigers will make it to Omaha, and have a serious shot at taking home the trophy.

So how well do you think your team is going to do this year??

Miami is always visiting Omaha but hasnt finished the job lately.

We will take home the title. I mean how can we not, we just unveiled our multi million dollar renovation of our stadium thanks to ARoid.

Looking forward to the season as well.

Huskies dropped a 4-2 game today to Mich St.

We're historically in the mid to top half of the big east. usually at about a .550 winning percentage every year overall... so i expect around the same

the top 4 teams make the big east tourney, every year our goal is to qualify

UF has the #1 recruiting class and our pitching staff is STACKED...

We play like #11 Louisville tonight and we are #25

We are up 4-2 in the 4th and have a pretty decent team...

We play #17 MIAMI next weekend and we play 7 out of the 25 preseason top 25 this year.

UF could make omaha but it would only happen if UF does good in the SEC...im drunk also.

This reminds me of our MVP 06 NCAA Baseball game. If I remember correctly, it was the only game Corey was good at.

Damn Waldo, you read my mind on this one.

The new LSU stadium is sick from what I hear, best in the nation.

I was gonna start an official College baseball thread, so we can keep it all in 1 thread, since there aren't gonna be too many replies, lol.

I ended up trying to go at 4:45 to get tickets today for the 7:00 start time, there were 500+ students in line already, with the gates already being open an hour, I figured there is no way so I ended up leaving. The stadium looks amazing, and I believe the attendance tonight is over 10,000.

Florida defeated Lousville tonight 6-3.

Louisville's All-American pitcher got rocked in the 1st 2 innings and then settled down.

Should be a fun first 2 weekends for Florida. (Louisville and Miami)

Canes down Rutgers 6-1.

It was the gran opening of their new modeled park and a sell out crowd.

The crowd received free syringes from a Hispanic dude as they walked through the turnstyles to honor ARod and the opening of Alex Rodriguez park.

Yea, he tied a career high in walks which was 3.

Kid doesnt have the best stuff in the world, but he has great control. If thats off he usually gets hammered.

Very young squad, but Im excited about the arms we have.

Should be a great weekend against the Gators.

To answer your question originally

They opened up the season everywhere this weekend. The Northern teams have been complaining for a while that the South gets a jump start getting to start FEB 1 due to weather. As I see their point all I can say is tough.

My team Texas (if they can stay off the drinking binges lol) will go deep into the season as a top 10 team. I don't think they will fair well in the post season as the pitching will lose it for them. They are currently 3-0 beating U Ill. Chicago 6-1, 10-1, and 3-1 with a Sunday game to come tomorrow.

Pitching has been good but its only UIC so we will see.
