They are getting traded as PTBNL already as is so I don't see the harm.

If people want to make back channel deals for 1st round picks that's on them. I don't condone it and I will only ever go off the trade forums so you make those kind of deals at your own (high) risk.

im behind the loop but if we allow this we might as well allow draft pick trading cause ppl are gonna tell others who to pick and then trade for them.

That's what I was talking about. I don't think that happens as much as you think it does and it carries risk the for the person trusting the other GM to not screw them over. Again, I don't condone it but if people want to do it the risk is all on them.

And yes, exactly this. It's already happening now (still not that much but I have zero way to really monitor or know about it) it's just that people are using PTBNL for it. This really just makes it slightly easier for me as I don't have to track the PTBNL.

I had guys complain to me about this but the truth is if guys make back door deals and post it in the right sequence you simply can't prove it. I don't think it happens that much really. I see no problem with this going thru. I doubt anyone would trade more because now they are on their R team rather than the other guys for 4 months.

This is essentially draft pick trading and I think everyone knows my stance there.

I thought I remember someone quit because of this type of deal. The backdoor deal wasn't honored because of a new owner that knew nothing about it.
