B_R SPORTS TALK #1 NDL its not over yet…

Welcome one and welcome all to the FIRST Boston_Rob Sports Talk today will just be a quick overview of the current standings and quick trade deadline synopsis! Let's get to it!
AL Quick spot
If the season were to end today 4 in the American league would win the AL East. Right now division leader New England has 65 wins whereas Omaha, San Francisco, Philadelphia all sit in a wildcard spot with more wins than division leader New England.
NL Quick spot
The NL east is quite opposite for that matter with almost ever team holding a playoff position. Outside of Central division leader Seattle and West Division leader New York, Los Angeles is the team closest to striking a WC spot tied with Fresno with 66 wins. I wouldn’t hold my breath if I were a LA fan right now with a -34 run differential things are bound to head south.
Trade Deadline
We see the NL most active in both East and Central Division Leaders addressing some needs. Seattle adding SP Johnny Key (7-9) who may benefit from more run support in Seattle. Meanwhile over in the East Rhode Island gets RF Dale Hill who is an absolute masher on pace to hit 36HR with 110RBI’s. Should help Rhode Island clinch the East.
It should be an exciting finish to the season where the East is both the Least and the Beast! (Get it?)
Next up…..playoff predictions! Who do you think will win the AL East? Will 4 teams make the playoffs from the NL East? What about the rest of the league? Let’s see what you have to say!
