My biggest problem with coaches are that they're only required in the ML. It needs to be all or none imo. The salary discrepancy between using them vs not is on avg probably around $3M-$4M. Thats quite a lot for something you cant say definitively has a large affect. My stance is, if you're not going to enforce them on minor league teams, then just get rid of them. They dont do anything to add to the immersion.

Not sure if I should be happy or upset if this one passes...maybe a bit of both!

Coaches are dumb.

i vote get rid of them. GobOne, your point is right and also why we should get rid of them. once we stopped 'requiring' them in the minors then guys stopped developing their coaching skills

so now there are hardly any good ones

The problem is that they make very little difference, if any, to a players development.
So they are, in a sense, a waste of time.

I agree AJ, they don't want to admit that they have no impact, cause then everyone would stop using coaches.

I voted yes to get rid of coaches but I do like them. It's a pain in the ass to keep up on hiring, especially when the export doesn't go through.
I have a prefers power pitcher pitching coach and I like to think he helps the power pitchers I bring up to MLB, but I can go without em.

I vote to get rid of Moose Jaw.

Moose Jaw with the recent heel turn got me looking like a babyface.
