I have not used it on the Xbox One, but the more I read about it, may be worth it for $29.99 per year on the PS4.

I looked at the PSStore offering for this and the description has me a little confused. So the service is $29.99 per year that gets you what?
1. Early access
2. 10% off digital copies
3. ??? Anything else?
So you still end up paying for the games you want? How is that a good deal?

yeah i got it so i could play madden a few days early. i got 10 hours of access to madden up until the release date and i got 10% off the price.
so i knew i was buying madden anyways so it basically pays for itself
i paid for 1 month and i can cancel after that ... i'll probably do it once a year like this and or if i decide to buy FIFA i'll do it again then.

Does Madden have the different versions of the game like a 59.99 - 79.99 - 99.99? I know the middle FIFA one let's you play 3 days early

Yes, and just like FIFA, the more expensive lets you play a few days early.
I did the one month of EA Access too. It is $5 to be able to have 10 hours to see Madden and see what it feels like, etc.
I am debating spending the $30. I spend more than that on one trip to the bar.

10% of $80 is $8 and you spent $30 to get it 10 hrs early. Doesnt exactly pay for itself?

He paid $5 to get it with 10 hours of playing time.
After that, your trial is up.

We should try to get an NHL league going.
I know Dan and I played 19.
I barely played it, but would definitely be interested in a league.

It's a decent deal for $30. I just haven't purchased it yet due to timing with the Madden launch and my travel schedule. I'll pick it up at some point.
This may be the first year since around '12 that I won't buy FIFA. No advancement in Pro Clubs being in the biggest issue (they have some short-sided setup going in this year, but it's not multiplayer yet).
I haven't touched Madden in nearly 2 months and I think I'll be down to 2 leagues. Most of my gaming time is spent on NBA 2K. Already pre-ordered the Legend edition.

I haven't until this trial to try out Madden 20.
I bought 2K19 when it was on sale for like $2.99.
Bought it on the PS4 and on my son's Switch.

To me, at $30 ($2.50 a month, price of a cup of coffee), I can play any of the major sports games when I get the random itch, same for racing (NFS at least) games, etc. The latest versions of the sports games hit the vault ~6 months after release. They're obviously discounted retail by then, but they'd still be $20 each. Other big games hit the vault at around the 9 months - 1 year mark, which was true for Battlefront 2 (1 year) and Battlefield V (~9 months). Anthem will likely be free in the vault sometime this Fall (and has a 10 hour trial in there as well).
There will (likely) be a 10 hour trial for the new Star Wars game later this year (and there should be trials for the new FIFA and NHL as well).
