Ok, clearly this is going to be a problem and the type of problem that will just discourage guys when it keeps happening. Not going to overthink this. If you have had a prospect retire this offseason or in the future post it here and I will un-retire. If you post it on Slack I wish you the best!!!!!!!

It's one thing if it will be a guy randomly every few seasons. If this is the 2nd high rated guy (maybe more as some of our owners would not even notice) that is too much and kind of silly. Especially without an explanation email or reason for retirement

Glad to see you were able to identify if it was a real glitch so quickly. :)
Personally I think we should not bring them back unless it becomes super common and we think it is a real glitch.

There's no negative about bringing them back. Now if they get an injury or a news article that says they are donating a kidney... That's different t. I say bring em back

Something is up with this dude.

He entered the league in 2033 from China. Then signed 19 years later with Dillonvale?

I was looking at him the other day, he signed with a team when he was 1 year old according to the history. He had OSA ratings updates every year through his...uhh...adolescence lol. Then 19 seasons later signed with another team at 20 years old.

I would retire too if I was having a identity and a Quantum Leap like time crisis.

Shit, I can't remember what I did last week!
Seriously though, I really wish OOTP would up their tracking of stuff in the history.
How does a player sign a minor league contract with Phoenix at 1 year old?

I'm sure they're just regenerating players. He was probably a crap player back then, was cut/retired/etc. Came back as this CL but the history wasn't cleared up.

I can back Nick on this.

It hurts revenue slightly. You get more attendance on a Friday than a Monday game typically

He is soo busy! :D

So next season it will happen. It is too late to do it for this season.

May not be totally correct but... I believe this has to do with the unique player ID being reused. It picks up some of the data off of the previous player.

Also, I had solid prospects retire on me 2x. 1 of them left to play football, he was the top SP prospect in my organization at the time, I think he was 19, Lane something. The other was a pretty good hitter. The first one freaked me out because I didn't realize it until a few in game months after it happened. I went back through a bunch of the in-game mail and saw the message that was sent to me. Super disappointing.

I've had this, but due to donating a kidney or something. That is fine. But I thought it was just random without news and what not. Whenever a super youngin retired before, he would get a news article.

Yeah, if there is no news that accompanies it is what we are interested in. If there is a news story on why they did, then they remain retired.
