Divisions - Lets start this off basic and vote on a Realignment in the 2047 offseason. If it passes we can address the issue of how we will do that next!

Ones step at a time fellas!

2048 would be our first season with the new divisions

Let's start brainstorming some ideas on how we will break up the divisions too, that way if it passes I can throw up a subsequent poll.

I can not really vote on this yet. If we do the draft/tier based system we did last time like we said we would continue I am all for it. If we go to two larger divisions per league I am ok with it, if it is geographical or any of that it is a no for me.

two divisions is by far my favorite. I like the idea of division winners getting something (byes) that will make winning the division much more meaningful.

I would propose we protect certain rivalries that we could keep in the same divisions like Port Orange-New England, Sheltown-Miami, Montreal-Tampa, etc.

Then just place teams either via a draft system for the rest or general consensus.

Or the rivalry has to come together and decide among themselves which division they want when their draft position comes up

You forgot Richmond-Toronto!

We could do something like grab a buddy, and you both will be placed in the same division? Might be lame, but cool for people to play with their friends. I know we have two brothers and things like that. Just a random idea.

We should do the drafting via lottery but keep the 12/18 rule. I bumped the old thread for reference.

Part of me thinks having nick and shel the same division makes sure we have constant banter. But also putting them in each in different leagues would ensure that both leagues have someone constantly posting and picking fights with someone. Like put Shel with Dak, and let nick hold down his own division.

I think both of them would prefer to be in the AL.

I'm not sold on the 2 divisions though...convince me!

Also the realignment thread was posted a year ago today.....

Let's just have one giant division and the top 8 teams can all have byes! Let's make the whole regular season a giant playoff!

we should have 2 levels like Soccer and 3 lowest teams get relegated and top 3 from bottom one get promoted
