Lots of debate in the agreed trade blocks but no one seems to want to post anything up. I'll get that started for us.
Link so you can catch up on the debate if you haven't.
My proposal:
Set a percentage that a GM is allowed to go above and beyond what the financial budget is set at by the team owner. Once we've decided yea or nay on that then we can proceed with determining what that percentage would be. I'd probably say 25%, but that can be argued over later.
I have set this to allow you to change your vote as well as I'm sure arguments will convince people to change minds on an hourly basis
Since this is very clearly going to be a yes let's start talking about how we implement it and how long people have to be in compliance. I have never been flush with cash so this could be wrong but we only allow 50 mil cash on hand and that cash is used to offset money you may lose amongst other things. Would it work if we just say you can not exceed your budget by more than 50 million at any time?
and btw, budgets are so flexible. all you gotta do is win. If people think trading for a lot of extra $$ makes them competitive. no. winning does. Like 3 seasons ago my budget was 3rd last and now it's 11th. All I've done is made sure my books arent messed and won more than i lost and it goes up.
If it passes, I'm more in favor of percentages than cash. Plus, since that available cash is used in trades I would think it would make it a tad more difficult to keep up with.
the only problem is the financial numbers are not right. I have 100+ mil to spend on FAs but if you go by expenses - current budget i only have 34 mil to spend.

Those are the things that are tricky. It's tough so say, the league has been wildly successful for this many seasons. Perhaps we should just leave it as is and not overreact to one rare situation

Bingo. It renders that $50 mil cash pretty useless.

no were def in the right to overreact. The fact for 35 seasons we had 30 owners who ran things normal and never went this far. Then, the 1st season he does it, we call him out, and so he decides its okay to do it a 2nd season? Cmon man. Its a fucking SIM baseball league, use some common sense and try to not cheat. First season is fine, second season on youre bending rules. Fucking lame.
and the people of the league are speaking based on the votes so clearly this is something no one except like 2-3 people, 1 of them (being a person unloading 95m in a deal), likes..

Spoiler!
and i think if youre over the number, the only trades u can do is if you lose salary to try and get under.
