Re: College Basketball
Really thought Baylor had a good shot at winning tonight but did not expect this dominance

Re: College Basketball
Was pulling for the Zags but this Baylor team is fun.
I think they set the record for most mullets on a basketball court at one time.

Re: College Basketball
That backcourt was just too damn good.
I wrote a piece before the tournament on the players who had the best chance to boost their draft stock, Mitchell was one of my top guys. Figured he'd play his way into the top 20, and instead he moved his way into a possible lottery pick.

Re: College Basketball
so for a few years ive been trying to perfect a model to get CBB lines. And im getting really close with this one, so figure i'll post it and ideally it has some success but id like to track it and i guess this would be the easiest place too.

If the MyLine is - theyre favs by that and a plus number theyre losing by that much obviously.
My curiousity comes with that my totals seem to match up / be close often, and theres a wide variance of total numbers (from 130 to 150).
I then worried that maybe my numbers couldnt predict large differences in scores so maybe every big dog would be the "pick", but i tried out the worst team (Miss Valley St) and the best team (Gonzaga) and my #s would have Gonzaga as 52 point favorites with a total of 150. Seems about right (100-50 type score).
Edit: if i add +3 for Home Field, for travel etc, almost every line is perfect and the added up sum difference of actual line to my lines so far is -0.2.

Re: College Basketball
There is a kenpom calculator out there that can get you every line and point total based on off and def efficiency and pace basically within a point or 2 each time barring any type of injuries or random events
When I was more involved I’d use it to do ncaa tourney projected lines.

Re: College Basketball
Yea I use kenpom. The problem and the big issue I am hopefully “figuring out” is you got 2 numbers for every situation and figuring out which if either is right, or if the number lies in between (AdjO v AdjD) as well as which tempo the game will go at etcDRiccio21 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 10, 2021 1:58 pm There is a kenpom calculator out there that can get you every line and point total based on off and def efficiency and pace basically within a point or 2 each time barring any type of injuries or random events

I won’t win long term cause my money management is shit. I just like doing these things to see if I can learn how they come up with their lines, roughly.

No clue if he's considered a good coach or if Michigan is any good.
If not, he probably gets fired.
If they're good/he's good, maybe a lengthy suspension.

And he was mad because they called a timeout with 15 seconds left. Fucking loser lol

Re: College Basketball
Supposedly Wisconsin had end of bench dudes and Michigan still had starters/rotation dudes in and pressing full court, so Wisconsin called a timeout.
Not sure what all of that is true though.
Crazy thing is, Howard had another meltdown just last year and probably would have thrown punches if given the chance. Dude doesn't really seem to have the emotional mindset needed to be a head coach: https://mobile.twitter.com/W_Brown21/st ... frame.html
