I finally got the OOTP utility up and running successfully on OOTP OU 15.
Looks much better than OOTP OU 13 and you can now easily see the links towards the top of the page.


I need each owner to please go to:

1. Choose your name in the list and log in using the default password of baseball.
2. Click on Profile and then Change your password.
3. Input information like your aim username.
4. Input your PM Link. So go to your profile here on our forums and copy the link address for someone to send you a PM.
You can enter that into your profile so people can click on it to send you a PM.

What does this mean to you....
We will have AllStar voting again, Award voting again.
I will see if Bernie wants to use this for HoF voting, but he puts so much work into it, not sure if he will want to use it.

2 cool features:
1. you can go to Last Sim and see results of your games.
Sorry, but we will not be uploading recaps and highlights. This will take up too much data on our website and we are already at max capacity on our server.

2. The stats link on the right.
This will give you many options to look at stats. Should keep you busy for a little while.


The last thing this means, once I verify how it works, is the Draft Utility.
We will be holding future drafts through the site.
Right now, we cannot get all the players to show when you sort during a draft. For example, if I click on Catchers, it only shows 3.
I have a PM out to Getch on the OOTP forums, who helped me get this all up and running and hopefully he can help me get this portion working.

The cool thing about the draft, we can set a time limit, set when the timer stops (9PM), when it starts (9AM) and it goes without anyone needing to monitor it.
I can have it email out to the league every draft pick, so we know who is up.

In the draft window, you have 3 options:
1. If you have it set to auto-draft, when your pick comes up, it will automatically pick BPA...unless....
2. Auto Draft using Draft List. - You have to setup a draft list on the site, NOT in the game. If you have this box checked, it will use your list and pick the next player immediately
3. Use list if time expires - This sets it so that it will use the entire amount of time you have and then use your list to pick a player for you. This gives you time to manually make your draft pick during your turn.

All of the player Attributes/Ratings on the site are OSA.
Right now, we cannot get scout ratings to work on the site. This is another question I have out to Getch.



Right now, besides not all the players listing (only 3 Catchers showing)....and scouting not showing ratings, the only other thing not working are the replays and highlights which we will not be using due to the amount of data it will take.


I will NOT be updating this data daily, but I will try at least weekly for now.
I may be able to get to it a few times per week, but we will see.

I just dont know if I like it yet. I like to use my scout, but guess I could just use OOTP and then make selections using the utility. May make the drafting a lot faster.

Is Getch a person??

Doesn't seem like the player stat utility is functioning? I can't get it to switch to pitchers or to even show all the players on my team...

Team stat stuff seems to work pretty well though.

I would always recommend you use your scout to come up with your list. Then jus enter them into the utility.
The ratings in the site are OSA. Unless you are someone that believes in OSA.

How you getting to what you are talking about and what links or options am I choosing so I can tell him?

From page after Log-In:

1. Click Stats link on right side of top link list.
2. Noted that I don't see Dan Nicolson or Edgardo Zamora, so thinking that for some reason all players are not represented.
3. Changed drop-down box under "Display" to Pitchers.
4. Clicked Apply button to the right of the "Display" options. Nothing happens.
5. Tried changing Scope radio button to the Historical options.
6. Clicked Apply button near the bottom of the "Filter" options. Nothing happens.
7. Essentially, I can't change anything that is displayed on this page. And none of the category headings are clickable (they are on the Team Stats page).

Team Stats appear to work great.

That is all I was looking for, was someone appreciating that we haven't had this utility up and running for several seasons and now it is back.

I think my post summed up my appreciation.

I know shel. I was just being a smart ass.

We appear to have all the players listing now in the draft utility.

Scouting, has to show OSA ratings in the OOTP OU and it cannot be set to each team's individual scout.


Replays and highlights we will not be using due to the data demands.
So at this time, it appears to all be working.


I asked him about why it does not show the last sim from today, but once we get a few bugs worked out with stats, it should be ready to go.
And I am still seeing if I can import a draft list from a text file, so I don't have to go in and completely manually set it each season.

Using this to document so I can keep track where everything is.

Zamora is there now and it shows him with 64 ABs which matches his at bats in the game.
Same with Nicolson with his 63 ABs.

Last sim results are there now too.

There was a report I was not generating.

Probably a moot point since we're not doing the draft from this website this year anyway or maybe I'm doing something wrong, but the names aren't matching up exactly. Some of the guys listed on the website are in the OOTP game but they're not on the draft pool list.

Not sure if that'll present a problem next season or not.
