Yea, I am really late. Need to get the timing down.

Also I am seeing a lot of the same things in this mode as in past with liners right at guys a lot and willie mays in the outfield at each position.

I'm adding training points now, pretty cool feature, plate discipline affects your ability to successfully check swing. Time to load up on that one lol.

Crap didn't save after I got drafted, time to do the draft again. Wish there was a way to not have to sit through it everytime.

Good tip, very nice. I admittedly haven't done much and I really don't know anything about The Show franchise. Just kind of firing it up and going at it. Not even sure how to advance bases... just letting the computer do it.

Liking the base running this year as it may be as simple as it ever has been with the button option and L1/R1.

10 games in with the Giants Farm system, hitting .227. 1 home run, no other extra basehits, no walks.

Anyone think about changing sliders at all? Granted I know I'm chasing more pitches than I should. But checking the batter analysis after each game, it seems like 90% of pitches are in the strike zone, I may never get a walk lol.

Ahh, that makes sense. I'm on All Star level as well.

I'm kinda screwing myself as I'm trying to work counts here and there, but I did notice every 1st or 2nd pitch is usually a strike right down the middle, but I usually take that pitch. :?

Every time I get a 3-1 count, I tell myself to only swing if the pitch is right down the middle. 90% of the time the pitch is a foot off the plate...I almost always swing at it

I think I'm gonna make the plate discipline training a priority for now, getting the check swings to go in my favor may help a good bit.

So you will check swing on most pitches?

Seems kind of cheesy :)

I've only walked one time in 108 AB's. I've only struck out once also but have hit a ton of weak ground balls or lazy flies. First pitch fastball square button here. Hit my first grand slam last night while pinch hitting. It was a first pitch fastball right down the middle. The ball went over the right field bullpen and out of the park at Chattanooga.

When you get to AAA on all-star and start facing guys with 4-5 pitches that are curves, sliders, change ups and 97 MPH 2 seamers, shit gets real.

i'm facing guys who throw 40% of their pitches straight down the middle/87 mph fastballs, and shit is already real.

1 of 3 things are happening:

- Some of you are reporting inflated stats
- Some of you are playing on Veteran but reporting as All Star
- I just suck.

C'mon, admit it guys, save me the humiliation!!!

Corey and I were talking about it over lunch today lol.

I think I come at my at bats opposite as most, always have. I try to sit on the offspeed stuff, and then react to the fastballs. Usually, I do pretty well like this. As a result, I'm not usually pulling fastballs, but I still get around quick enough to hit em up the middle or in the right-center gap type areas. For some reason, so far on this mode, I simply can't catch up to em, even the 90mph ones. I hit so many foul balls in the stands down the rightfield line, just so far behind, not even close.
