Re: RTTS thread
1 thing I hate about The Show...unlike FIFA or NBA2K where i can sit back and relax on my couch and play, on The Show when I'm batting I have to stand up and be like 4 feet away from my 50 inch TV.
Re: RTTS thread
ive been on all star since the beginning. mike and bama were on veteran then moved to allstar right around when they got called up to aaashel311 wrote:1 of 3 things are happening:

- I just suck.
C'mon, admit it guys, save me the humiliation!!!
i think oracle is on veteran for now.
whats happening with shel is he is getting old and his hand eye isnt what it used to be. lets see how he adapts
Re: RTTS thread
why in god name would you sit looking offspeed?shel311 wrote:Corey and I were talking about it over lunch today lol.ajalves wrote:i go opposite field with a good many of my hits, but i rarely get blown away by 90 mph fastballs down the middleshel311 wrote:i'm facing guys who throw 40% of their pitches straight down the middle/87 mph fastballs, and shit is already real.BIGmike wrote:When you get to AAA on all-star and start facing guys with 4-5 pitches that are curves, sliders, change ups and 97 MPH 2 seamers, shit gets real.
I think I come at my at bats opposite as most, always have. I try to sit on the offspeed stuff, and then react to the fastballs. Usually, I do pretty well like this. As a result, I'm not usually pulling fastballs, but I still get around quick enough to hit em up the middle or in the right-center gap type areas. For some reason, so far on this mode, I simply can't catch up to em, even the 90mph ones. I hit so many foul balls in the stands down the rightfield line, just so far behind, not even close.

That's exactly what is happening.ajalves wrote:whats happening with shel is he is getting old and his hand eye isnt what it used to be. lets see how he adapts
I'm calling all of you liars so it's clear how i'm not adapting, still in the denial phase.

Re: RTTS thread
The main reason is it just always worked better for me, but here's why.ajalves wrote:why in god name would you sit looking offspeed?
If I sit on fastball, i'll do a great job crushing fastballs, but every time I get anything offspeed, i'm wayyyyyy too far ahead of it, and i was never able to adapt to that.
But I noticed if I sit offspeed(this is in the past of course), I do great at crushing the offspeed stuff, but would still react quick enough to hit the fastballs.
So logically for me at least, the best way to hit all pitches was to go about it that way, which is opposite.
Re: RTTS thread
yeah but when the pitcher is throwing at least 50% fastballs?
Re: RTTS thread
I am on veteran. Just made the AA All-Star game and haven't been promoted yet.
Waiting for the call-up. I am batting .370ish, 25 hr 110rbi, lead the league in doubles and triples as well. Not sure why I haven't been promoted yet.
But I plan on upping the difficulty when I do

Mike is going to be in the hall of fame before any of us even finish a season.

I do contact when I get to 2 strikes. You can still hit decently with it, and it helps on those close ones. Especially since I get antsy lolReignOnU wrote:I rarely touch power/contact so far. X it is.

I only do power if I'm up 2-0 or 3-1 and get a "crush me" pitch
2 strikes I go contact unless there's two outs, then I just go normal
I'm on veteran/no guess, will go to AA when I get promoted. I've demanded a trade from the shitty Padres, the Double-A team is 14-30 and I'm the only person hitting, so my RBI chances are low

Re: RTTS thread
Sent back to AA.
Went .206 avg in 68 ABs, 23 SO. Will try to work that out in AA and make the step back up. I liked the variety of pitches at AAA way more than AA. (not sure if that was from veteran or AS, vs the level change)
