Okay, I did see that when watching a stream. I'll mess with settings.kdog36 wrote:use pitchiing metercougnix wrote:I played a little in an exhibition game last night. Are there tutorial modes? every time I made a play from the shortstop is was a "Jeter" throw. Had a struggle with the pitching. The fluctuating circle kills me, I couldn't pitch when the circle was at a minimum to save my life. The graphics are freaking amazing.

Just a heads up, but if you pre-ordered The Show on PSN you should have received an e-mail from Sony giving you 5 dollars on the PSN and 2,000 stubs (some type of currency in the game). This is due to the DL delay.

What is the general setup for pitching / hitting controls for the leagues that people run? Also, what do you guys prefer to use? I'm a baseball game noob. It seemed like Zone+Timing for hitting was the logical choice, along with Meter pitching.

I use meter pitching.
Not sure what it's called, but i think i use that hitting too. It's the one where X is to swing and L analog to aim.

I'm not sure if this is relevant to guys that used game share to download... but I see a note on page 68 of the manual that says:
DATA
Save your game, load or delete previous save data, upload your game to the cloud, install the optional 10GB Game Data that will improve your load times.

Pretty sure this all pertains to the PS3 version, as it isnt a option on my hard copy.

For me today the menu's for online have been real fast.
On the forum, they are working on patching a few bugs/glitches as we speak. Menu load times are based on the servers, So like I have said if the servers are running slow aka your menus then the game is going to have more of a chance to not take/be laggy anything that anyone has occurred.
I would say come Tuesday they may have a fix for some of these issues. San Diego Studios is really hands on and works fast to fix the game. I would really like to know if the PS3 version has some of these same glitches online and what not?

I hope they are working diligently and have fixed it.
It is almost unbearable, especially as a commissioner, as I am sure you know.

Please explain what you meant? I still haven't played anything online, so I'm just reading what you all are saying about the online.I_S33M_THAB33T_U wrote:ReignOnU wrote:Good point Ryan, that might be true. Bummer.

If you are in an online franchise, you are connecting to their servers.
So if their servers are slow at that time, navigating through the screens of your franchise will be slow too.
And if the menus are slow, that shows you right away that their servers are currently having issues or at least not in good form, so you have more of a chance of your game results not saving properly or the game being laggy.
