Seems like I could try it out for a bit except that I know nothing about the rules of cricket.

And don't the games in real life take days to finish?

theres 3 types. test matches (which take days), one day internationals (take a solid day but not more), and 20/20 (which is 2-3 hours or less). 20/20 has become the most popular due to the speed. batters have a finite number of pitches they get to face which limits the speed.

I could explain the difference but i know you guys dont care lol.

So one of these test matches, how long would it last in actual time played?

I have zero idea what is going on in that sport.

They throw at those sticks in the ground like a substitute for a catcher?

They whack the hard as hell ceramic ball with a club?

Silly unAmericans!

Games in the sport of cricket are played over a number of hours or days, making it one of the sports with the longest playing time, though sailing, yachting, road cycling and rallying are sometimes longer. Typically, first-class cricket matches are played over three to five days with at least six hours of cricket being played each day. One-day cricket matches last for six hours or more. Cricket therefore has special rules about intervals for lunch, tea and drinks as well as rules about when play starts and ends. These rules are outlined in Laws 15 (Intervals) and 16 (Start of play; cessation of play) in the Laws of cricket.
Tea

theres strategies in tests too. if you batted 2nd and the 1st team was killing it, theyd suck and extend time so the 2nd team couldnt get enough at bats and then the game would be a draw

Easy now, its not boring. Only to thos who cant sit in place for more then 15mins.

Baseball is AMERICA's past time. AMERICA's. Like Hockey is yours.

To me golf, nascar and bowling and mens tennis are the most redic sports to watch.

I'd watch golf, nascar and tennis before watching baseball.

To be fair, baseball games are closer to 4 hrs than 15 minutes ;)

I enjoy following baseball boxscores and whatnot, but I havent watched an entire 3 innings consecutively (let alone an entire game) in years, probably since my freshman or sophomore year of college. And that includes the Tigers having a great team
