I thought we had a thread about it but couldn't find it.

Which headsets are you guys using or looking to buy for the PS4?

I am in the market for one of those where all the sound from the TV is muted and goes to the headsets n surround sound.

Good for late night gaming on the big screen when the little one is sleeping.

I think Dan mentioned the patch at launch will allow for the PS3 ones to work on the PS4.

Hesrd good things about turtle beach and the sony ones as well

Don't mind paying a good amount if they are bad ass :D

I saw an unboxing video and it's like a ear piece with mono sound.

Perfect and free for you!

I went out and bought a $20 headset, and used it all of the 2 or 3 times I played FIFA, definitely wasn't even worth my $20.

If the day 1 patch does in fact allow the use of the old headsets, I am sticking with that one for awhile. It's the P21 and I have loved it.

This one is $48 on Amazon right now. You get the surround sound effect and all that good stuff?

Yeah, when I got it I went from the old PS3 mono headset to this and I was amazed. Especially in a game like COD where you can hear people running past you and you know exactly where they are in proximity. I have noticed that Ghosts isn't as easy to tell location like Blops was, but still the surround effects are great.

Great feedback, thanks man.

I am sure most will do coming from just using the ear piece on the PS3 to the full headset ones but want to get a decent one and not worry about it going forward.

Only drawback is it is a wired headset. I'm going to ask for the P4 wireless turtle beach for xmas I think.

Ive read good and bad things about the wireless ones ranging from wifi interference to battery life so was hoping some others chimed in.

Most have the wired ones which I am fine with but will probably wait a little down the road to see what they release too.

I'm not sure if they're PS4 compatible but I'm hoping my Astro A50's work. They have surround sound like Nasty is looking for an the headset is built into the headphones. It's kind of weird though because it's not like a regular bluetooth headset. The bluetooth only goes to the Astro A50's base station to the wireless headset and then the base is connected to the playstation by a USB cord (this is how the mic ends up connecting to the PS3) and a fiber optic for playstation audio.

Yeah, good point. Never really thought of the feedback thing.

Someone said there was a thought that headsets would need to be plugged into the remote like the Xbox does, but that can't be true looking at the headsets available for it right now.

Im looking at these but a pretty big price tag.

May wait to see if Gamestop or somewhere does like a 30% off sale or maybe even Black Friday type of something.

I bought the PX5 for the PS3 and while I'm happy with the audio quality and chat quality, they're not the most comfortable headset. It doesn't help that I have a large head/hat size.

The other benefit is I can use them as a chat device but not pump the audio into the headset (keep the audio coming from my receiver or just not on), and you can still hear external sounds, so you can still tell if the baby is crying I would guess (they're not completely closed ear headphones).

Yeah, I have the P21X as well, it's a terrific headset. The wires can get annoying but it's managable. It makes a huge difference on shooters, and the sound on Battlefield 4 through them is amazing.

I have these but the chat sound has gone out on me. You all can hear me but I cannot hear you, it's as if I have the chat volume turned all the way down. I can also hear the game audio just fine.
