Julius Randle is the most dominant, unstoppable offensive player I've ever seen at Kentucky. Reminds me a ton of Antoine Walker and Lamar Odom. This team is scary fucking good, and if he doesn't get hurt, Randle will be the first pick in the draft. He is truly unguardable with one guy.

Wiggins' desire and work ethic are being questioned. He's being overtaken by Randle in more scouts' minds every week.

apparently 1 person, Pete Thamel, called him out and that was like Oct 2012  .. funny how you were so high on him when he was rumored UK, he goes to Kansas and now hes not #1. Probably coincidence though.

His coach, Rob Fulford, responded: "The entire article was based on things everyone already knew. I thought it was unfair ... classless. I challenged Andrew (to realize) that's not going to be the last negative piece written on him, his dad, school, character issues, things like that from his past."

And then Wiggins responded. All he did was make 24-28 shots from the field on his was to 57 points.

Actually I wasn't talking about that tool. Thamel is a moron. He could suck UK's balls and I'd still not read a word he says.

I'm not knocking the kid, I'm saying that there are questions that he's relying on his athletic talents alone and not working to get better. That might be enough to get him the #1 pick, but if other guys improve then it won't be. Has nothing to do w him coming to UK. I even said before he decided, on these very boards in fact, that I thought Randle would end up being the more dominant player because of his skill set.

Guys like Jeff Goodman, Andy Katz, and Mike DeCourcy are on record as having said that Randle is going to give him a serious challenge for the #1 draft pick. He's a 6'9" monster of a PF who can shoot threes, can bring it up the floor like a guard, and is nearly unstoppable one-on-one down low.

Katz:
"Randle is as physically mature as any player who has come to college recently. Wiggins may be getting the hype, but Randle could be the more dominant player at his position and win the national POY award."

Goodman:
Wiggins might be the clubhouse leader, but the first draftee to shake new NBA commissioner Adam Silver's hand in 2014 could be Kentucky's Julius Randle or even Duke's Jabari Parker. In fact, let me be the first to go out on that proverbial limb and say I'd take Randle, a 6-foot-9, 250-pound man-child, with the No. 1 overall pick.

...Randle can be an unstoppable force. He's big, extremely strong and ultra-athletic, and he plays with a high motor. He's got a defined position at power forward, and his game will easily translate to the next level. He's about production and potential.

"He can absolutely be the No. 1 pick," one general manager said.

Odd... I hate Kentucky... and really have no reason to. Maybe it's because every Kentucky fan that I see in SW Ohio is a bandwagon fan that would swap their hoodie for a UC/XU one as soon as one of those programs went on a bit of a run and got a little exposure.

I hate those fans. I know of the ones you speak.

And AJ, if you lived here, you would care "too much" too. We don't have any pro teams here, you grow up bleeding either blue or red in this state.

No, you're worse. You care WAY, WAY too much. There's a dedicated fan then there's you for whom the line between fanaticism and reality is very blurry.

Actually I don't, but think whatever you want. I know people who can't function after a UK loss, or who break down. I'm a very realistic fan, I'm one of the few who wasn't calling for Tubby's head every year, who doesn't expect 40-0 and a title every year, etc. But I'm also very passionate and I love the program.

But I honestly don't care, think whatever you want. I have plenty of friends who are UofL fans who talk basketball with me; if they felt "the line between fanatisicm and reality" was very blurry, they wouldn't talk hoops w me or ever agree w me.

I'm not the one who goes crazy and defends every little negative thing about my favorite school. I could tell you that I hate the font of the lettering on the UK basketball jersey, and you would give me a 4 paragraph defense on why it's the best jersey ever made and why it's better than everyone else's.
