"Video game manufacturer Electronic Arts will not publish a version of its college football game next year and it may stop doing so permanently because of litigation concerning the use of the athletes' names and likenesses, the company announced

I wish, sadly they will not. Luckily we have roster share so that online dynasties will still be a possibility.

This has probably been mentioned somewhere before but I don't remember seeing it. Is the PS4 going to be backward compatible? Or would I need to hold onto my PS3 to be able to play OD's next year?

Hold on to PS3, the PS4 is not backwards compatible.
