I don't usually share personal bits of info, but have talked with a few guys in here about coaching, just wanted to share about my baseball team. I coach high school baseball, head varsity coach. Been the head coach for this my 10th season. We have had a great season this far, league record of 13-1 and an overall record of 16-3. Our season finale is tomorrow night against my alma mater, kind of fun for me. Anyway, have 11 seniors on my squad this year, has been a blast. Secured the league title 2 days ago and are back-to-back champions for the 2nd time since I've been here. Subs and Districts start up next week and we are a favorite to go to state and are under the radar as far as state polls, which seems weird since we were co-champs last season and a state participant. My school doesn't have a baseball tradition in its history, but recently we have been pretty good. The coach before me built a winning team after 3 years and we went to state for the first time in school history in 2003. Since then we have 4 league titles, 2 more state berths and looking for a 3rd. I'm looking for the schools first state game win this year, and I think I have the kids to do it. I know Bama is a baseball coach, what's your season turning out to look like?
Anyway, wish us luck, this senior group has some pretty high goals, been together for alot of years.

Our head coach does a great job. You may have to go to pigs knuckle Arkansas community college to play but he can get almost all of our guys a scholly.

Well, damn it all to hell. We lost our first State game 4-1. 5 errors, and only 2 hits just did us in. We had a season average of .400 and probably batted under .300 since. Very disappointing, words just really can't describe it. 11 Seniors, going to be a rebuild project next year. Only had 3 underclassmen get playing time for varsity. Tough couple days for me and the boys...
Ended up 22-4, most wins in school history. 4 short of a state title...
