PS4 in 2013

Save your money boys. It’s starting to look like the PS4 is coming by Christmas of this year. A reveal is expected by the end of Feb.

Some early rumors:

Sources close to the hardware have revealed to us that PS4 will ship with a redesigned controller which is the same size as an existing DualShock but features a small touchpad in place of the existing Select, Start and PS buttons. The tech is based on Vita’s rear touchpad, and is similarly responsive in use

A new Share button on the controller will, when pressed, launch a new feature that will allow screenshots and video to be distributed online. The PS4 hardware will continually record the most recent 15 minutes of onscreen action (with no processing penalty, claims our source), which users will then be able to edit and broadcast via the Internet.

launch in Japan and the US by Christmas, with a Euro rollout following in early 2014

I remember when this would have been the best news ever.

NOw the old man in me who wants Lasik surgery, a new bed, a new TV, and a new laptop just thinks that I'll get around to buying it in 2016. :?

i'd be surprised if this new one still has free online.

i've said it before, if it helped clean up the online, i'd pay the $60 or slightly less for a "Live" type set up

Its not even been busyness, it's the actual want to. I've had no desire to play video games.

Sad huh?

Either they have given up trying to get developers to use the full capacity of the machine and they are dumbing down the new one to function at 100% capacity, or they just need to spark excitement for their product again and are putting a different cover on the same machine...

The problem with the PS3 is the RAM. There is only 256 MB dedicated to video. That is creating a big problem with resource allocation. Bigger games like Fallout and Skyrim struggled with memory and their performances suffered badly. the PS4 will have 4 to 8 GB of RAM. As important, RAM that will be free to use and not locked like it is on the PS3.

The PS4 is also leaving cell technology behind. The PS3 tech was hard to develop on so most developed on the XBOX and then ported to the PS3. That also hurt performance.

So, there may be plenty of processor left to use but there are bottlenecks elsewhere.

I'm good. Get me a shooter game that doesn't blow and I'd be on. Blops2 is Meh at best.

It is all rumors at this point...
Recent rumors suggest the new PlayStation may launch in October with 16GB of RAM, 256GB of storage and 1080p HD resolution in 3D at 60 fps.

I played the Wipeout game in 3d at my buddies house the other day on his PS3 and it was cool, but definitely not a must have feature.

Blasphemy!

Though ill admit, traveling with my PS3 keepers me from getting in trouble. There is so much here in San Juan and here 2 full weeks. It's all I ca. Do to keep me from getting chatty and testing if I still have any game left in my old age.

Crack to the point, unpack that biotch at least to play some Blue rays.
