With the receivers lighting up when they are open (more help for lesser players like me than the pros), the running ability, and the receivers being able to make more types of catches; I don't want to hear balls about using strategies. Also, it seems like they've been toned down. I am playing the CPU right now and I haven't stripped a ball in two games despite having it on AGGRESSIVE. It used to happen three times a game.
In fact, I am even more strongly in favor of allowing the GUESS RUN features.

You're making assumptions of online play by playing the computer?

The game is completely different against a person Trendon.

Yeah, they should probably charge $59.99 plus tax for the online game since it is an entirely different product.

I think the game is geared towards offense, but it always is. I think a tuning patch is in order, though. Patch up the zone D and that'll help a lot. Right now it's pretty much a guarantee the person is playing man and it's not hard to exploit that. The elite players can deal with it but it's frustrating for everyone else.
They could also patch the reaction of the defenders on the option and QB runs.
One other thing I did notice, QBs breaking A LOT of tackles. I was playing Mac in a scrim last night and I'd say every 2 times a defender tried to tackle a QB he broke one of them. Mac noticed it too.
When Riccio punched me in the face, kicked me in the balls and spit on me, his QB was acting like Brandon Jacobs, shredding everything.

This means I have even more reason to just let the computer play defense and only pay attention when my team has the ball. Excellent!

Are you really making a statement saying that the online play is identical to the offline play? What crack are you smoking?

I really couldn't tell you whether I was playing NCAA12 or NCAA13 tonight. Right down to the playbook freezing and not letting me pick plays unless I backed out of play selection and went back in.
I can't believe that NCAA isn't just a $20 roster pack each year. They must sit around for 9 months laughing about how they're going to rip everyone off again for another $60 while they rehash the same shit every year.

Man I played 2 games tonight with no issues at all. Actually thought to myself the opposite about how smooth it was. Now I agree not a lot of changes in graphics but overall I am enjoying the game. But that is just my opinion.

Every NDL scrim I've played so far has been dominated by defense. The only high scoring game was against BFIVL and that was because I threw like 3 pick sixes. I did play a couple ranked games in the lobby and those were blow-outs, but this "offense, offense, offense" is bull crap.
I'm really liking the game so far and some of the animations are nice. There is a definite difference between 2012 and 2013. I know some of you quit playing 12 a while back but I played right up to last night and if you think they are the same game you are high. I had to adjust how I played switching back and forth between the two games even though I was using the same playbook.

I'm loving this new one as well. I've only played one online game, but have played a few games against the CPU and INT's are already way down for me (runs off to knock on wood quickly)

The differences aren't drastic but they are there. I haven't seen one super jump int yet. Man coverage actually depends on your players ratings. Difference in speed ratings actually matter. Zone is looser but if you mix up your coverages it can be very effective.

While the game looks the same as NCAA12, it does not play anything like 12. The controller/player response is so much better this year. The AI react way differently this year, some people aren't going to be able to just sit in zone or man all game anymore. If your QB is not that good, he will through some bad passes. Animations are making a huge difference (no more rb making 5 yards after the animations starts for getting tackled by 3 guys). Also, I've noticed as I was going through making my playbook that there are a lot more plays available now.
I've played a couple games and this game is going to be offense, offense, offense. However, despite having some pretty big offensive numbers in my 3 online games so far they've all been close games by field goals in teens and twenties with pretty even teams. It'll be interesting to see how the likes of BigMike and others that were insanely good at user picks in previous versions fair in this game.

i've seen some superman jumps out of linebackers... but i didn't think any were unrealistic... basically throwing bullets to the wr's and having a linebacker in zone jumping to pick them off should be expected sometimes... if you put touch on the throws you can easily loft them over the lbs.

I have mixed feelings on the game. I like it overall and it is definitely different from last years version. What bothers me though is the alignment of the defense at times. I hate when I m pick cover 2 buc, and the offense comes out in 2TE 2WR sets and in a twins wr formation .. The dumb ass game lines up both by cbs on the twins side completely ruining my zone coverage and defensive leverage, and end up leaving wide open space on the weakside of the twin wr set for easy completions or huge runs.
And I echo the sentiment playing an online user is completely different then playing the computer.. Not only is the user not the cpu, but the games AI reacts differently in user vs user games the user vs cpu games.
