My son wants a headset for his XBox for Christmas. I bought the Turtle Beach one and he likes it.
My question is when he goes online can I set something up to where he wouldn't be able to hear the assholes like us when playing COD? He's 10 and I really don't want him listening to a bunch of 30 year olds cussing. Can I set it up to where he can only talk and listen to his friends?

He wants to be able to hear his friends. Only way to do this would be through a private voice chat room that he would have to invite his friends into.

It has been so long since I played without a headset, but I believe you can still hear people through the TV? My point being, maybe he would still hear some idiots through his TV anyway. Just saying but I definitely understand your concern cause there are a lot of idiots online saying dumb stuff, especially on xbox live.
But yeah a private chat is the way he can talk to his friends only.
