"Will You Take a Note? ... For All of It"

Over the past few months, I have been scanning the classifieds of various medias for business opportunities. In short, any business that I see advertised for more than one week gets a phone call from me.

"Hello, I'll be brief. Will you take a note in exchange for a higher principle and/or more expedient terms?"

The answers have been quite hilariously no across the board. One super fucking Italian guy selling a laundromat for $75,000 asked me if I thought anybody would say yes. I told him, "it ain't a popularity contest, I don't need you all to say yes ... I just need one of you." He liked that but still said no. Apparently, these people think they get to call the shots in an economic - real or perceived - climate like we have now.

Anyway, I am going to meet the owner of an ice cream parlor tomorrow as he is the first person to not give me an outright no. I am bringing my bookkeeper (who, in her own words, has a degree in cooking the books and a masters in tax evasion) to help me look at it. He asked for $20,000 down and $40,000 in payments over 16 months.

This should be fun.

Thanks. I have nothing else to lose. All I have to do is catch one retiree or one widow who inherited a business she wants no part.

I envision Trendon running an ice cream parlor in the same way the soup nazi ran his soup kitchen, just more cursing and syllables.

- Worst location EVAR!
- Could only show me five months of deposits (I would like two years)
- Didn't know how many customers per day he receives in July and January.

Next!
