connection the last two nights

Post by UCWeiser »

I have tried to play 2 games the past two days. One was an OD game and the other was a league game. Both games got disconnected and neither person had the option to continue and get stats. Is anyone else having issues? Could it be the user playbooks? Or something else?

I haven't had any issues, albeit I have only played 3 games online. However, I am constantly getting disconnected from the network when I am playing Road to Glory mode.

I always seem t have 3 bars which is rare. I played 3 league games so far and once couldn't play and we had to try again the next day. however, all 3 games have been completed relatively lag free (by my standards). I did switch to direct connect to bypass my router, but that may be for my own speed problems.

I have 3 bars all the time, and I have disconnected 8 out of 9 tries...

Wireless, wired... custom, non-custom... it doesn't matter.

NDL Cup against Nick, 2 disconnects

Week 1 vs Air Force, we tried everything, 4 disconnects ( I was winning 2, he was winning 2).. 5th try he went wired and wouldn't you know it I was almost 35'd, the only game I completed was the only one I wanted to disconnect :(

Week 2 vs Arkansas, 2 disconnects so far, have been tied on both, so we will just replay when or if I figure it out.

Very frustrating to say the least.

I agree it is EA's servers.
And like you, luckily I have not had any issues.

I'm really getting jealous of these people that are ale to get games in. I have 100% connection and a Nat 2, but still can't complete a game. Even tried the pause before you start thing and tried using non-custom playbooks.

I know this really doesn't pertain to connection but more towards EA's response to problems, but I was looking at Operations Sports for some answers to the bugs in the game and saw they have a thread about EA consumer relations. Apparently someone posted a thread asking if EA is really looking into this kind of stuff. Apparently someone from EA read the thread and contacted a couple people and let them know they are working on it. Unfortunately, they don't see the need to post a blog about the ETA to any patch and that it will only be posted once the patch is posted. Apparently a patch is coming sooner than people think, but who the hell knows when that is going to be, cause at this point it doesn't feel like they care enough to patch it. They really need to address some of these issues and come out with some sort of blog on where the patch is, cause I think people are getting pissed. I know I am. I have put my RTG game on hold because I'm tired of watching teams punt on 1st and 2nd down.

I don't know if I finally fixed my problem tonight or just got plain lucky, but I was able to play 2 ranked games tonight without any problems after messing around with my router a bit. I decided to see if manually opening the ports on router (while still DMZed) would help out as I was honestly running out of ideas. After opening the ports required for NCAA 2012 I jumped into a ranked game and finished it without a hitch. Afterwards I tried another just to make sure I simply didn't get lucky and I finished that one without a hiccup. I'll have to try again tomorrow to see if it wasn't juke a fluke, but at least I finally got some NCAA in. Here are the specific port numbers to open if anyone is interested:

PS3 Online Ports:
•UDP Ports: 3659, 6000, 9570
•TCP Ports: 80, 443, 9980-9989, 42124
